 JCube is a retail, dining and entertainment complex nestled in the heart of the new and vibrant Jurong Lake District. Designed by Benoy, the award-winning firm behind ION Orchard, JCube boasts an iconic façade inspired by an ice cube. Like an ice cube, it is designed to reflect natural light by day and sparkle by night.
JCube also houses Singapore's first Olympic-size ice rink. With a 460-seat gallery and a 60 by 30 metre rink, it is designed to host international events, such as ice hockey, curling, and speed skating.
The project was to control the space around the ice-skating rink and provide a stand-alone Building Management System (BMS) with minimal changes to the existing facility. Additionally the building operators wanted a web-based, graphical user-interface that provided monitoring control functions, such as trending, alarms and schedules.

 Click here for more information on Carrier View Our Updated BTL Product Listings! Carrier has recently updated their BTL product catalog to include many new product listings for i-Vu® controllers. These controllers  have been updated to firmware revision 5.54 and now support BACnet® protocol revision 9, which includes support for segmentation. Segmentation provides an efficient means for transferring large amounts of BACnet data between devices, thus resulting in less network traffic.
Updated listings include i-Vu controllers that can be used for BACnet Routing and Third Party Integration, as well as application-specific controllers that can be used for controlling fan coils, water source heat pumps, unit ventilators, rooftop units, air handling units, VAV boxes, and VVT terminals. In addition, general purpose controllers have also been updated, which can be used to control boilers, lighting, and other HVAC equipment. These i-Vu controllers can be factory-installed on Carrier equipment or field-mounted, and provide native BACnet communications to any BACnet Building Automation System.
The updated controllers meet the BACnet Building Controller (B-BC) and BACnet Advanced Application Controller (B-AAC) device profiles. For more information, check out Carrier's BTL Product Catalog here.

ISSUE: The WattNode only accepted 29 (instead of the documented 30) human readable characters of text for writable String (device description and device location) properties.
ISSUE: WriteProperty and WritePropertyMultiple requests to read-only Communication Error object properties resulted in the  UNKNOWN-PROPERTY error instead of WRITE-ACCESS-DENIED. ISSUE: The meter responded to certain WritePropertyMultiple requests, where a malformed request followed a successful write, with an incorrect error code.
ISSUE: The meter did not respond with the correct errors for invalid WriteProperty and WritePropertyMultiple requests where the request contained multiple values to be written for a single property. Please click here for more information.

BACnet International Success StoriesBACnet International Success Stories is a free resource that provides a place to promote your successful projects that use BACnet in order to further knowledge and understanding of the BACnet protocol - essentially, mini case studies. Posters utilize a web form to upload the content, (narratives, photos, etc...) which is then reviewed by editors from BACnet International (primarily for errors) prior to public posting.
Once the BACnet Success Story is posted, it becomes a permanent, linkable record of the successful project.
Further, Success Stories:
