2015 Gallatin's Farmers Market
Opens April 4th
 

Opening date is scheduled for Saturday, April 4 with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Our market will be open every Weds. from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. through October.

Spring Season will start with spring vegetables and plants, flowers, handmade soaps, organic salves, vapor rubs and lip balms, organic fertilizers and farm fresh eggs that will be available April 4. As the season progresses, more fruits and vegetables will be added.

Our market has grown substantially over that past four years and have added vendors with local vegetables and fruits throughout the season. We often have breads, cookies and honey, etc. that will be available to purchase as well. As our vendors have grown so has our customer base, Gallatin Farmers' Market it worth checking out!!

The market is located at 160 W. Franklin St., right next to the Gallatin Police Dept. If you have any questions, need additional information or are interested in becoming a vendor please call 615-452-5692.

The Networking Power Lunch 
April 7th at Swaney Swift on the Square!  
Join us each Tuesday for the Gallatin Networking Power Lunch, formerly Gallatin Leads: Grow Your Network, for lunch and networking at various restaurants in the area.  It's a great opportunity to further develop your business relationships, network and at the same time support the restaurants that support the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce. This meeting is a casual networking event. You?ll enjoy lunch as you dine at tables of 4-6 people. There are no assigned seats. Spend your lunch-hour making connections and experiencing great food!

Gallatin's Annual Square Fest is held the last Saturday in April of each year. The event includes arts and crafts, live entertainment, a kids area and food vendors from throughout mid-south. Held on the historic downtown square, this event has become of signature event in the spring for Gallatin. Crowd size has been estimated at over 12,000.

If you have been looking for a great way to serve your community and get more involved with the Chamber, now is your chance! We are in the process of organizing our event committees for 2015 and we are looking for fun and creative volunteers to bring new ideas and recommendations for making this year's Chamber events the VERY BEST EVER!  
     The Gallatin Chamber has several events that would not be possible without the support and hard work of our volunteers. Each of these events help promote and sustain our local businesses:

Volunteer Opportunities
Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County Women Build '15 - Gallatin Chamber Day 

The Gallatin Chamber of Commerce will have a Chamber Day on Saturday May 30th from 8:00am to 3:00pm. We are looking for 15 woman to help! No Skills Required! We will be making final "clan up/touch up painting" on a new home on Hatten Track. If you are a Gallatin Chamber Member and are interested in volunteering, please call 615.452.4000 or email us at info@gallatintn.org.  

(A minimum donation of $20 per person is required) 

 

More Information: The The Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County Women Build '15 will begin in March and will be completed in mid-June.  The home on Hatten Track in Gallatin will be built for the Murphy Family.  The father, Gary, is a bus-driver for Nashville Metro and mother, Teri, is a stay-at-home mom for their four children.  Three of the children attend Union Elementary and the fourth is a student at Vena Stuart Elementary School.  The official ground-breaking ceremony will be scheduled for early March.  Please contact Susan Johnson at susan@habitatsumnercounty.org or 452-9606.  The participant groups must be at least 75% female with a minimum age of 16 years of age.
