former okla. hospice owner gets 3 years in medicare fraud

Paula Kluding, former owner of the now-closed Prairie View Hospice in Chandler, Okla., on Tuesday was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of 39 counts in a Medicare fraud. Kluding was found guilty of falsifying nursing notes and other medical records to unnecessarily extend patients' hospice stays and continue receiving Medicare reimbursements, authorities say.
