ask questions to get conversations flowing

Leaders can't find out what they really need to know unless they ask, writes Mary Jo Asmus. how to waste less time in meetings

Simple, direct steps like banning smartphones and sending materials ahead of time can turn long meetings into productive, shorter gatherings, Dan Rockwell writes. women make better bosses, says container store ceo

One reason that women are still underrepresented in leadership positions is that they are taking on the lion's share of household chores, Sheelah Kolhatkar writes. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that 83% of women are involved in household activities such as cooking and cleaning, compared with 65% of men. Women "still face two glass ceilings, one at work and another one at home," Kolhatkar writes. Bloomberg (6/26)
