The skimm's success comes from these 2 "news nerds"

Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin started a daily e-mail newsletter known as The Skimm to help readers stay informed about topics in the news. The women, who call themselves "news nerds," launched the newsletter after noticing that their friends weren't knowledgeable about current events. The newsletter had 1.5 million subscribers the last time figures were released, and it raised $7.9 million last year. Business Insider (7/7)  

value-based care trend accelerates

Value-based health care reimbursement agreements will outnumber fee-for-service agreements by 2020, analysts at McKesson Health Solutions predict based on a survey of executives at 114 payer organizations and 350 hospitals. Ninety percent of payers and 81% of providers already have adopted some level of value-based reimbursements, the survey found. Managed Care magazine (4/2015)
