medicare may consolidate billing for hospice patient care

Medicare is considering covering all medical care for hospice patients under its hospice benefit instead of paying nonhospice health care professionals separately for treatment not related to a terminal illness. The agency is concerned about making nonhospice payments for services that should be included in the hospice benefit, but patient advocates said a change could cause problems for beneficiaries who need care for chronic conditions. 4 tips for cutting down on e-mail overload
Clear out your e-mail inbox by deleting or archiving messages that don't require a response and forwarding messages that should be handled by a colleague. Write responses to messages that can be answered quickly, and make time in your schedule for dealing with e-mails that require a little more thought.
