Good afternoon. There is allot of anticipation in the air regarding our first tournament weekend. Check the Game Day Info link on your home page for more info (all teams are scheduled to play four games this weekend). Best of luck to the Giants as you take on the St.Andrew's JV at Preston field tonight. Congratulations to the Rangers and Sox for your outstanding day of baseball last Sunday.
Please take a minute to review the info posted below:
Guest instructor today @ Rangers and Sox field practice
Chance Wheeless, ABC alumnus, UT baseball National Champion and all Conference first baseman will join the ABC staff today at the Rangers & Sox field practices. I asked Chance to come out an pour his knowledge into our corps of first baseman as well as share his knowledge and insight related to "all things baseball'. He will be working hands on with ball players today during practice.
The ABC family is blessed with a large stable of former players who have gone on to have baseball careers beyond high school. We are blessed to have these former players come out to join us during workouts and give back to the organization that had such a strong impact on them. There will be guest instructors at indoor workouts and field workouts (at both Preston & Balcones).
Field practice curriculum for Wed 2/27
Due to the inclement weather last week we will be using the same practice curriculum posted last Wed. Please take a minute to review the itinerary for today's workout posted on the spring home page under Continuing Education
Weekly game notes
Reminder that game notes are posted after each weekend of play. Your team page has a link where you can review the thoughts provided from your coaches. There you will also find mention of a weekend MVP and the ball player whom we feel made a Strong Impression.
I will be sending a memo with pictures and a recap of our community service project from last Saturday (field work day). The ABC Nation rose to the occasion and I am extremely proud and grateful for your efforts!
Go Take on the Game,
Coach Prater
