ABC Nation,

  Good afternoon. I am writing to bring you up to speed on specific details related to our scheduled community service workday on Saturday. I have populated a page for your review on the ABC website that contains specific activities we will be performing, a list of what each family needs to bring, and a list of items that I need you to rise-to-the-occasion and volunteer to bring. 

 I am requesting that each family plan to arrive at 8:30 and plan to stay until 11:30. I do not necessarily think that we will be out there until 11:30, but please block out that time frame. The ABC coaches will be making suggestions about gathering for lunch at a designated location for those who are interested in continued fellowship.

Expectation

  This is a TEAM event and should be prioritized and respected the same as a tournament or game day. I have received a handful of e-mails related to conflicts with a few ball players attendance. My expectation is that if you have a school related conflict, that is certainly fine, otherwise, the coaches and I expect all ball players to participate. I asked that at least one parent plan to attend and participate as well.

Divide and conquer

  I would like to request that you report to the field on the side of town in which you attend your weekly indoor sessions (report to Balcones if you train at north academy; report to Balcones if you train at south academy). This will ensure a better balance of families at both locations.

At the bottom of that page you will find a link to an online form that I have created where you need to respond with the number of people from your family we can expect in attendance, ready to work.
