Beware of party crashers this New Year's Eve - especially invisible ones that might be lurking on your food!

Here's how to keep these invisible fiends off of your party foods:
- On your buffet, keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold. Nest buffet foods in larger bowls of ice.
- Rather than serve food from one larger platter, arrange food on several small platters. Keep the platters in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Don't leave perishable foods out for more than two hours.
- Refrigerate or freeze meat, poultry, eggs and other perishable items as soon as you get them home from the store
- Eat leftovers within 3-4 days
