IS THERE A CHARGE FOR OUR SERVICES?
NO-  We never charge a hunter or fisherman for our services.
We search with our own money and time, for top notch guides, captains and PH's. Once we check one out and decide he or she meets our stringent guidelines, we ask them to hire us to promote their hunts. If we find a hunter, they pay us a commission. AND- very often we get last minute bargains and you end up paying even less! That is because we have over 60,000 clients- far more then any outfitter can ever hope to have! So they rely on us to move last minute opportunities.

You are in a win-win situation. We have done the homework so you avoid a bad experience. Never a guarantee of course, as weather and other things can affect any hunt, but you can be sure you are with a quality outfit in a quality area.
Over 20,000 Bucket Lists Cleared & Counting!
COLORADO #141   CANCELLATION ELK HUNT- SAVE!!
Over the last 17 years, this outfitter has amassed a remarkable harvest percentage of  94.8% on branch-antlered bull elk. At one point, the outfitter could claim to have taken 307 bull elk for his last 320 clients! That's an impressive record! IN 2015 he was about 147 bulls for 149 clients!

Surrounded by National Forest, when the season on public land opens on October 15th, literally hundreds and hundreds of elk descend on the ranch. Last year one stand hunter passed on 19 bulls in a few hours before killing out.

The elk herd in this area is reported to be 22,000 head. Most bull elk here will be good 5x 5's and  6x 6's, with some exceptional elk in the 320-inch class and above are harvested every season.  Due to the outfitter's commitment to wildlife management and complete control of the property borders and boundaries, there is an amazing number of trophy elk available to the outfitter and his clients.
Ranches are equipped with hot running water, electricity, beds and most modern conveniences.  Meals are served daily and are some of the finest western cuisine available.  Hunting is done primarily on foot with 4WD vehicles, horses, and ATV to move around the ranches. Elevations vary from around 6,000 to 8,500 feet, but because of the ranch roads, there isn't a lot of climbing required.

Outfitter said,"I'm telling you these later hunts are something it's nothing to see 1000 elk in a day, the minute it start snowing every elk in this basin, coming off every private ranches in the area and migrates through or stages up on this property (107,000 acres)".

If what you're looking for is a fair chase hunt where game is plentiful, where the hunt is relaxing and where you are almost assured of harvesting a trophy bull or buck, then these ranches are for you.
Bulls here are heavy, mature branch-antlered bulls, but do not expect to kill giants. You'll see plenty of impressive bulls during a typical day's.

2016 ELK PRICING SPECIAL:    Regularly $6950, NOW ONLY $5295

You can add a management deer to the elk hunt for additional $2500. (Your Guide will select deer to be harvested.) Also add Trophy Antelope for $2750

KODIAK #51   BROWN BEAR HUNT- 2017 DATES
We have worked with this excellent outfitter for about 12 years, during which time he has consistently yielded excellent result with happy customers. We like the fact that he personally guides nearly all of his hunts!

All is strictly fair chase, and being in good physical condition is necessary for a Kodiak bear or deer hunt, as climbing up and down the many high hills, pushing through willows, up and down tree choked draws-- etc- is a frequent thing. This is true for both his bear hunts, and for his Sitka Black tail deer hunts! Bear numbers have been on a steady upswing on Kodiak for at least the last 7 to 10 years, and it appears bear numbers may be at or close to, all time highs! This is the time to go to Kodiak! And this guy is good- among the best THERE IS on the island. He guided one of our clients in 2014 to a 10 foot plus bear on the fall hunt.

He has a 2500 square foot newly improved lodge and also spike camps. He provides all in field transport, expert trophy care and is a very dedicated guy who wants his clients to succeed. If you want a great hunt at a relatively modest cost, then he deserves your most serious consideration.

BEAR HUNTS:
This is one of the world's best and most classic bear hunts - and this outfitter takes bears that consistently exceed 9', and he can average 9.5' in a good year!! And of course the 10 footers are there as well. It's a draw hunt for his brownie area, with around a 75 to 90% chance of drawing and with a kill rate in the 90% range every year! Bears average nine to nine and a half feet. He guided a client in 2010 to the NEW WORLD RECORD BROWN BEAR with a handgun. It squared 10'2" and was 28 14/16 SCI. Bear numbers on Kodiak are at an all time high. Most of his bear hunts are backpack hunts, going out and living right where the bears are. He also does a couple of hunts based from the lodge each spring.

All brown bear hunts on Kodiak Island are by drawing permit and the odds of drawing have been 70-100%.
The application deadline is December 31 for spring and May 31 for fall. You Must also have a contract with an outfitter, with a deposit paid down on the hunt, before you apply.

A couple of other things to keep in mind is that he will allow you-ON A BEAR HUNT-- to add on a Sitka blacktail for $2000- a nice bonus and a new specie for many hunters. He also has some superb sea duck hunting. About 10 species of ducks are available including Harlequin, Barrow's Goldeneye, Scoters, and Old Squaw.

MEXICO #265   BEST COUES DEER HUNT IN 15 YEARS
Our slow US economy has prompted this outfittter to offer to us an exclusive deal!  Only our clients have this offer. You can do his normal $5000 Coues deer hunt for only $2950! There is a trophy fee of $1000 if you take or wound a deer. We have never in many years seen such an offer.

You will be hunting a private Mexican ranch of 24,700 acres. This is mountainous and rugged country- ideal Coues habitat.
We also like that the outfitter will pick you up in El Paso, TX, and drive you across the border to the ranch. He has been doing this for years, although this  ranch is new to him for this year, so he is anxious to please the landowner. These hunts are 8 days in all with 6 days of hunting. You can also shoot mountain lion,  bobcats and coyotes at no extra charge!! We think most bucks shot here will be in and around the 90 inch range.

Here are a couple of quotes:
"Would do this hunt again in a heartbeat"- CF.
"Will cherish this hunt for a lifetime" -JW
"Excellent food, lodging, guides and equipment. Felt very safe. All papers in order -easy border crossing" TP

Remember, hunters can shoot Mountain Lion, Bobcat and Coyotes at no extra cost.  Contact us for complete details. Dates are open in December and January.

    $2950 plus $1000 trophy fee

SOUTH DAKOTA #101     BISON, BISON, BISON!!
Our research led us to this outfitter in the Northeast part of South Dakota. We believe this outfitter provides one of the most challenging Bison hunts in the country.

These bison run on 7,000 acres of rolling hills, canyons and prairie much like there ancestors did. They are about 500 in number and you will need to stalk them. You pick how you prefer to hunt - using archery, black powder, rifle, or pistol. Whatever your weapon of choice, you will earn your trophy, you are not shooting fish in a barrel here. Of course bison are a plains animal, normally quite visible, so please bear that in mind.
The hunts are conducted mid December to the end of February when the robes are in the best condition. He usually allows you two days, but will give you a third day if needed. Success is 100% and he is not going to let you leave without your bison trophy.

He is offering three Bison hunts
TROPHY BUFFALO BULL (Large Bulls)   $5,680
(Most of these bulls would score B&C or P&Y)
BUFFALO BULL HUNT (medium Bull)   $4,780

UTAH #29    MTN LION ADVENTURE- 95% SUCCESS
This is one of the best houndsmen we know of. He is known far and wide as one of the best breeders and best cat hound trainers in the West, and he has been doing it for nearly 30 years!

Lion hunts are totally dependent on the quality of the dogs! Some of our clients from France who have hound hunted for leopards, jaguars, lions and more, called him the best they have ever seen!
His dogs do excellent on bare ground, given any reasonable set of conditions. In snow they are of course superb. His dogs do equally well on bobcat and black bear. He hunts some gorgeous and scenic areas in southern Utah and Northern Arizona.

We have been using this outfit for a number of years, and over that time his success has hovered around the 95% plus bracket, about as good as can be expected, since bad weather can shut the hunt down. But 90% plus-- is a pretty darn good average for wild lions in rough terrain. And oh what views you will be treated to! You are hunting near the famed Kaibab in some awesome canyon and mountain country with views that will not quit!
He also is a very friendly and helpful guy, and in fact one client of ours who had some tough breaks, said to us that "most any normal outfitter would have thrown me out of camp"- and instead the guide pushed him to hang tough in the deep snow and he killed a nice lion on the last day!  We always appreciate outfitters who show patience and understanding; and who go out of their way to keep our clients happy!

CALIFORNIA #182    TULE ELK HUNT- 100% SUCCESS
Any hunter wanting the North American Slam of Game Animals, must have a Tule Elk. Found only in California, and opportunities are hard to come by. But each year we get 1 to 3 of these and all our clients to date have been 100% successful on them.

We  have one trophy bull tag on an 11,000 acre ranch in central CA. The ranch has a resident herd of around 100 head and this year ONLY one bull will be taken. This hunt is good for bulls in 270-290" class, and outfitter has  taken a couple bulls from 308-325" over the years.  Most hunters tag out in 1 to 2 days as they are very visible in the plains areas they like.  It is our experience that the best time to  hunt these bulls is mid Aug. -mid Sept. Something in the soils seems to make their horns brittle and susceptible to breaking once they start rutting. So August is best. Bulls in August are starting to move  quite a bit. However if you cannot hunt then it  is possible for earlier and later hunts.  Hunts have been 100% successful since the Private Land Management program was implemented on the ranch 10 years ago.

                                 The hunt includes the following:
4 day hunting (extra days are $550 each)
All meals
RV trailer lodging
Guiding
Trophy field care
Delivery of carcass/cape to local processor and taxidermist
Hunt transportation
All private land
Guaranteed tag (non-res license is extra $165)
EXTRA:
Local airport pick up/delivery is $200
PRICE: $24,485

GUATEMALA #46   AWESOME BILLFISHING ACTION!
4 nights, 3 days fishing, lodging, meals, 31 foot Betram- Party of 4- ONLY $1830

You may have read or heard about the awesome sail fishing, the marlin, Dorado, Roosters and Yellowfin Tuna fishing in Guatemala. It is relatively routine to raise 20 bill fish a day, and sometimes many more. This operation is small with two skippers, but one is an ex-navy seal and he also holds a 100 ton Captain's license.  The other is a world famous mate who has been featured in many fishing magazines-and who has just been granted the second boat to Captain. Top notch skippers who understand blue water trolling, and understand how to fly fish and how to use conventional tackle to raise bill fish.

Lonnie G.  "We chose this operation for a family fishing experience and in anticipation of an upcoming birthday. Two in our group had some special dietary/health needs and they confirmed they would be no problem before-hand. The owner and his staff went over and above every day to meet our needs. The fishing is great - we caught 86 sailfish in three days and two in our group were novices to this type of fishing! The lodge is set in an idyllic location, clean and the food was fantastic, especially the pineapple and mango snacks on the boat! They even made a special birthday cake and sang for our birthday celebration. We hope to make this journey again and cannot thank them enough for a five star experience! Put this on your bucket list".

PRICING:
You'll pay about 50% less here-than you would at other local fishing lodges. We really like their 4 night, 3 day fish package as a bargain.

TEXAS #123         BOOK YOUR 2017 AOUDAD HUNT
These Hunts have been gaining in popularity and sell out quickly. So call now to reserve your dates.

These hunts take place in the Mountains of West Texas. Although the outfitter covers a lot of ground on 4 wheelers, this hunt can still be physically demanding and will be to your advantage to be in good physical shape. They hunt elevations of 4500-6500 feet on some rugged rocky terrain in a typical desert habitat.

With temperatures ranging from 20 degrees to 85 degrees. Shots will average between 150 to 350 yards, although terrian can cause some shots to be 400+ yards. These are tough animals and we recommend at least a .270 Caliber Rifle.  These are free ranging sheep that have been wild in this area since the 1940's with outstanding genetics for large sheep.

History:
Aoudad or Barbary Sheep are native to the Desert Mountains in the Sahara region of northern Africa. In 1924, aoudad were released on the Hearst Ranch-mostly unfenced-in San Luis Obispo County, California, and have since populated nearby areas, where they have been hunted without legal protection. They were introduced in 1950 in the Canadian River Canyon in New Mexico by the state game department, with hunting by drawn permit. Some of these animals have wandered across the Southwestern portion of the United States and as far as Colorado and Oklahoma. Abundant in the wilds of Texas, as a result of state-sponsored releases, also elsewhere from private releases.
The aoudad is a superb game animal, exceptionally challenging to hunt.

NEWFOUNDLAND #148    CARIBOU/MOOSE/BEAR
This is an outstanding, reliable, highly successful and honest outfitter in Newfoundland. We are very familiar with a number of what in our opinion are " rip-off artists"  in this wonderful province. Some of them are almost legendary for their dirty tricks. We can think of numerous "don't go there" outfitters in Newfoundland, some of whom are featured regularly on the outdoor shows and in the hunting magazines. You must be cautious.

First of all realize that quality animals in this province ONLY come from areas largely unreachable by residents. Moose and caribou need time to develop trophy antlers. This means sticking to fly-in operations. The second criteria to look for is low hunter numbers in camp to insure a quality hunt and plenty of trophy animals. The third criteria is picking an outfitter who has his own planes, camps and guides. There are many sad stories of inadequately equipped outfitters so this is important. There are cheaper hunts, but you need to beware and use caution.

Also, this outfitters pricing is well below that of some of the other good outfitters in Newfoundland. One well known outfit is currently charging $12,500 for just a caribou! Our outfitter offers you 3 species (moose, caribou and bear) for much less then that! It should be noted that he also is a past President of their Guides and Outfitters Association, so he runs a tight ship.

You will be hunting within either an ecological reserve or a wildlife reserve where there will be no other hunters in the field other than those at camp.  He is able to do this only because they were there before the reserves were established; so they have been grandfathered in and have exclusive hunting rights to vast areas. This means basically three things; there are more animals, the trophies are bigger and the setting is awe inspiring.  Each year they have a high percentage of trophy moose, trophy caribou and trophy bear taken.  Indeed they run 100% on caribou most years! They only offer top end one-on-one guided fly-in hunts.  You won't find a better hunt and you won't find a better rate for a hunt of this quality.  This is basically THE  top end fly-in hunt-- at the cost of a roadside hunt.

2017 Rates --  Licenses and Taxes Included! Fly-in included!

TIBURON ISLAND      DESERT SHEEP ADVENTURE
Tiburon Island
Located in the Sea of Cortez, Tiburon Island needs no introduction to serious sheep hunting fanatics. For many years it has dominated as THE place to shoot a record book ram. It is the Gold Standard for Desert sheep hunts in Mexico.

The island's sheep hunting is controlled by the Seri Indians. In the past, going back perhaps to 2010 or so, the Indians saw the big money that could be made, and started to hawk permits that were at best, semi-legal hunts. Finally the Wild Sheep Foundation and the Mexican government stepped up and warned the Seri's that they would stop auctioning and selling the hunts. That pretty well solved the problem, but some hunters got burned by shady outfitters. So be careful in purchasing a Tiburon permit hunt.

We have known the Outfitter who is doing the hunts for over 10 years, and he has killed Desert Sheep for about 5 to 7 of our clients over the past years. However his acquiring 4 Tiburon Island permits is new.
But he is a proven sheep guide with a high success record, and our clients reviews have been excellent. Do however be aware that this is not a plushy lodge hunt, it is a real expedition.

There is in place a notarized contract signed by the Seri community and by the Seri administration authorizing the sale of 4 desert sheep tags to hunt on Tiburon Island for the hunting season 2016-2017, 2017-2018.

Background
The Outfitter we use is now the person in charge of hunting on the island and our contact will be the one who will take care of permits, weapon licenses, cites, exports, and contracts.  The hunting season opens on November 8, 2016. Exact dates to be agreed upon and can run into 2017 and probably 2018 if agreeable with all parties.

You will be met at the Hermosillo airport by the Outfitter and the Hunt Coordinator. You should note that the Hunt Coordinator has been doing most of the trophy exports for the past 20 years and will do so with your trophy. Packing and dipping will be done by them directly. Once the hunt is firm and the deposit is paid, the Coordinator will obtain the weapon license, tag and CITES needed so you can take your trophy home with you.

Details
The price of the hunt, 10 days, 3 guides per hunter, 5 days pre-scouting is $90,000. That price includes your weapon license and Cites fees. Cites takes around 30 days to be ready in Mexico City and the Hunt Coordinator usually flies to get it.
