BC #151 GRIZZLY, GOAT & CARIBOU ADVENTURES
|
NOW BOOKING FOR 2017/2018. BOOK NOW HE FILLS UP FAST
We have worked for many years with this outfitter, almost from his very beginnings. He is a small-volume outfitter that specializes in quality, personalized service and big-time adventure. He takes just 13-16 clients per year.
A bonus is that the outfitter's pricing is among the best and most reasonable for these types of hunts.
This outfitter has had years when he's averaged over 85% on Moose with an amazing average spread of 51-inches. Most hunters should expect Moose close to the 45-inch mark. Over the years this Outfitter has had clients take several bulls that have exceeded the 55-inch mark with one giant bull taping out at 63-inches. The outfitters avg success rate remains close to 80% each year.
Grizzly Bears in the Outfitters' area will avg 7 ft to 8 ft and have skull sizes in the 23-25-inch range. All Grizzly hunts are spot and stalk. The outfitter gets very limited grizzly allocations, so if a reasonably priced grizzly is on your list, call us asap. Clients report seeing grizzlies on nearly every trip. Call our office for more details.
The outfitter's success rate on big Mountain Goats is extremely high, close to 80%. You typically start in a valley floor at around 4,000 feet of elevation, then hike with packs to 5,000 to 7,000 feet. You may be staying on the mountain. You don't have to be an Olympic athlete to hunt goats here but the better shape you're in the more you will enjoy your hunt.

WY & IDAHO #91 MULE DEER, ELK, MOOSE, LION
|

This outfitter and his guides are "some of the hardest working, most likeable people we have ever met," says Butch.
Butch has hunted mule deer with them and his wife Joan did a very successful lion hunt with them a year earlier. Hunt-Nation has sent numerous clients to them on hunts for elk, deer, moose and lion all with great reviews and high success. This is a tested and proven outfitter. In fact two of our hunters literally just killed two very nice muley bucks with them, on the Idaho side of their operation. Horseback and wall tents and the bigger pushed the 180" mark. Happy Dad and son! And a bargain price at $3300 each!
The outfitter hunts along the Wyoming/Idaho border and is licensed in both states. This far western area of Wyoming/Idaho sits about an hour south of Jackson Hole and is in some of the very best mule deer habitat in both states, if not the entire country. Muleys in the 190-inch class and up class come from Wyoming Region G every year and this guy gets a couple nearly every year including some around 200 class. This area has seen an increase in big bucks since 2011. Hunts are at altitudes from 8,000 up to 10,000 feet plus. Horses are used extensively. You need to get in shape for this hunt. The rewards for your hard work could be a true wall-hanger.

Both the Idaho elk hunts and the Wyoming elk hunts, have produced very well for our clients. And that applies to bow and rifle clients. His archery elk hunts usually produce 75% to 85% shooting! Bulls average 260 to 310 and will be mature 5X5's and 6X6's.
His Idaho bow tags for area 78 are over the counter tags and that area has his most reasonably priced bow hunts. He has excellent rifle elk hunting in both states, and he has a premier area on the Idaho side, with outfitter allocated tags that usually sell out immediately! He will also do drop camps in both states if you want DIY.
DEER HUNTS-IDAHO SIDE: He has two areas he hunts. One is over the counter for mule deer (76). He kills some very good deer in this over the counter unit! He was 100% kill in 2015 in this deer unit!! AND- his pricing on this Unit 76 deer hunt is a real steal!
In the other unit he gets one or two allocated and guaranteed outfitter tags (78). There's some exceptional elk hunting in these units too, and a deer/elk combo is possible.
| Wyoming | Idaho | Elk | $4,500.00 | $3300 (area 78) | Archery Elk | | $4500 (area 76) | Mule Deer | $4,000.00 | $3300 (area 76) | Trophy Mule Deer | | $5500 (area 78) | Mountain Lion | $4,995.00 | $4,995.00 | Archery Antelope | $2,000.00 | | Combo Deer/Antelope | $4,500.00 | | Moose | | $4,500.00 | Spring Bear | | $3,000.00 |

ALASKA #24 COMBO BAITED BROWN/BLACK BEAR
|
This is a new and unique opportunity made possible by a regulation change in 2013.
Therefore 2014 was the first time in history that non-residents were allowed to hunt brown bears over bait. Outfitter went 6 for 7, including both rifle and bow hunters. This is a bow-hunter's dream and also is great for anyone who does not relish traipsing around the tundra for big brownie. Use rifle or bow. This outfitter has hunted this area for over ten years and has always been frustrated by brown bears that take over their black bear baits making black bear hunting difficult.
There is an over abundance of brownies, and plenty of black bear too. Approximately 100% of the hunters have seen brown bear on this hunt. These are considered coastal brown bears but do not grow quite to the size of those closer to the coast. These bears top out at about 9 feet with 7.5 to 8.5 foot bears very common. Their brown bears in this area are normally spectacularly furred in the spring and range in color from chocolate to almost white. Black bears are also abundant on this hunt and all color phases are present. Approximately 50% of their black bears are jet black, the rest are various shades of brown. Outfitter reports that based on past problems with the Brownies, they expect 100% of their hunters to see brown bears on bait while hunting; the rest depends on the hunter. One bow hunter has missed on 3 consecutive years! Their black bear success rates have been over 100% for the last five years since you may take up to three bears but only the first one is included in the price..
These hunts are done on Native lands and State lands, so they are perfectly legal and the recent regulation changes from the Federal government that prohibited these type hunts on Federal lands do not apply.
HUNT BASICS: Hunting areas will be accessed by vehicle, ATV and Jet Boat. You will hunt ten full days and leave the morning of the 11th day. Your daily schedule will consist of sleeping in late, a light breakfast, fishing mid day, lunch and then baiting stands. Hunting starts at about 5:00 pm daily. Expect late nights, sometimes well after midnight. The Copper River is famous for its salmon runs and you are welcome to catch big sockeyes just a few steps from your cabin. Meals will be hearty, sometimes gourmet depending on your guides cooking preference. Accommodations are simple, small cabins located just feet from the Klutina River on their property in Copper Center, AK.

YUKON #16 GIANT TROPHY MOOSE AND MORE!
|
This superb Yukon Outfitter in 2016 took 63 moose for 66 hunters, with half exceeding 60 inches! Awesome success and huge moose too.
There are people who compare Alaska with the Yukon, and they now believe that the Yukon offers you the best chance for a huge bull moose, in part due to the Federal Governments refusals to allow predator control on most of their federal lands. Unchecked predators can devastate moose herds, so we suggest you look hard at the Yukon as the best alternative.
The only bad news is you now need to book at least a year or more in advance to get into his camps. So now is the time for 2018, and he might have an opening or two for 2017- maybe.
This area was formerly owned by a First Nations Indian Band and the area was hunted previously by horseback only. But this outfitters is using planes (and horses) to reach previously untouched areas! If you want a Stone or Fannin Sheep, or a huge caribou or a giant moose - pay attention to this outfit!! Their area is the largest hunting concession in western Canada with over 14 million acres of hunting paradise. The size and remoteness of their area allows clients to enjoy high success rates from game populations that have seldom or never seen people. Their area is estimated to have more Yukon moose than any other hunting area in the Yukon! Nearly 10,000 moose. Each year they also are expanding into new areas; to enable clients to enjoy unique hunting experiences. They opened 5 new camps in 2016 alone!

ARGENTINA #39 RED STAGS & LOTS OF THEM!
|
We have sent probably 150 clients here and have hunted it multiple times ourselves, taking some huge red stag with rifle and bow, and also taking blackbuck, axis, fallow and even water buffalo.
It is commonplace to literally hear a hundred or more roars in one morning or evening hunt. Truly! The noise level has to be heard to be believed. You literally listen, pick the strongest sound roar, and then stalk it. If it is not what you want- within a couple minutes you will hear several others and be off stalking another. Archers can also do stands, as well as spot and stalk. This is an archer's paradise because you get so many opportunities. We think having many chances makes for a great bow or gun hunt. We are 100% on stags and have been for 15 years. All free ranging as are the blackbucks and some huge wild boar.
One thing we really appreciate is that prime roaring season is March and April in Argentina- times when you would otherwise be sitting bored in front of the TV! And no interference with your fall hunts either.
Superb service with wonderfully friendly and caring people. Clean and comfortable rooms, (cleaned daily); awesome food; wonderful argentine wines and beef, and you go to sleep listening to the roaring stags just outside your rooms! Absolutely one of the finest operations in Argentina.
"Butch, Thanks for setting me up on a great red stag hunt! There were only three other hunters there with me and they were Americans. One of the guys had been there 8 times and another had been there 6 times before. They had hunted all over the world and had hunted red stag in New Zealand and they said that this Argentina operation has the best free ranging red stag hunting in the world. I was done hunting in 1 1/2 days. I killed a 7 point unicorn cull (had broken off the right antler flush/into the skull) on the first afternoon and then killed a big 15 point the next morning. I've never seen so many trophy animals in all of my hunts combined!!! The accommodations were great and the food was unbelievable. The outfit and all the people were absolutely great. When I left on Friday morning, the other three guys had killed a 15 point almost identical to mine, a 16 point with shorter main beams, an 18 point, a cull stag and a really nice black buck.I did a quick rough score on my stag and it should be between SCI 310 and SCI 320.Best regards, Tom S"
