NEW ZEALAND #149 TAHR, CHAMOIS, STAG- UNIQUE
|
We are justifiably proud of this outfitter of ours. He was named the PROFESSIONAL HUNTER OF THE YEAR recently by the prestigious Safari Club!! Considering the thousands of professional outfitters out there- this is an awesome honor!
If you want some of the very best guiding and hunting there is any where in the world- this hunt is for you! And the touring options for non-hunters are truly exciting as well!! Butch and Joan personally hunted this operation along with a bunch of their clients taking stag, elk, chamois, fallow, boar and tahr. We unhesitatingly endorse it and you will love it.
We had a recent client who wanted world class animals, and we sent him here where he took a 600 class stag, an elk of almost 400 class and a giant fallow buck as well, taking three giant animals in under a week of hunting!
This outfitter has at present five different ranches to hunt from. Most hunters stay at his main Wilderness lodge looking up the valley toward Mt. Cook and its glaciers. Another lodge is for waterfowlers. His main lodge is magnificent in every way. Each guest (or pair of guests, has their own room set up much like a luxury hotel, with private bath. Huge dining room with magnificent mountain views. Rumor has it the building cost in excess of $1 million US to construct!
RED STAG : The Stag rut or roar begins late March and continues through to early May. Stag and Fallow deer are hunted on large privately owned fenced hunting estates, but some free range too. The terrain on these estates varies from small rolling bush covered hills to mountainous terrain. It helps to be in shape as you must earn your animals, BUT HE CAN HANDLE ANYONE! You will be hunting approximately 40,000 private acres.
TAHR & CHAMOIS - 5 day package. Helicopter time is NOT included in this price. The use of a helicopter is optional. If you do so opt, then normally they put 2 hunters in the helo, each paying for 1/2 of the time. Or hunt them free range right from camp. You can walk them up or drive around until you spot them, then spot and stalk.
RED STAG, TAHR AND CHAMOIS PACKAGE
BARGAIN!! This is a full 7 day package. Taking three premiere animals in this great location and at a world class lodge, for the cost one European stag, is a deal in today's world! It includes a stag in the 320 to 360 SCI class (no worries here- if they tell you it is silver and it turns out gold- not a problem for you!). And it too carries the guarantee!
2017 PRICING: Note: All prices are in US currency.

SASKATCHEWAN #15 WHITETAILS & BEARS 2016
|

The outfitter has 2 Whitetail openings left each week of Nov -2016
This outfit is a small, family operation with good home-cooked meals with an emphasis on quality over quantity hunting. The outfitter will have 24 baited deer stands at any given time, but only takes five to six deer hunters per week. This insures that there are plenty of active stands for each group of hunters
This outfitter's hunts are very reasonably priced at $3,600.
This outfitter really wants hunters to be able to hunt for a modest sum. They have told us that. Your package includes your license and the Canadian GST (goods and service tax). This is one of the best deals in Saskatchewan! The outfitter will field dress and skin your game for you. Monster bucks in the 170- to 180-inch range are taken every year. The kill rate typically averages in the 75% range, but about 70% of their business is return customers looking for Mr. Big so some guys choose go home empty handed holding out for a true giant. Bucks in the 135- to 155-inch class are average and a few lucky hunters will tag much larger bucks.
This same outfitter runs a VERY PRODUCTIVE Black Bear Hunt as well.
BEAR HUNTS - (Rifle or Archery) The outfitter offers exceptional spring bear hunting for better-than-average bruins. A few years ago a client took a 544-pound boar with a bow! Plenty of color- phase bruins including chocolate, cinnamon, and blonde. The outfitter takes a very limited number of bear hunters. Combine that with the fact the bear population is high, add to that the fact that size is well above average, add in nearly 100% opportunity to harvest a mature bear and you have the ingredients of an outstanding hunt.
NOW- Add to this the fact that the price is only $2,400 and that includes your license and the GST tax!
They run a 6- Day Guided Black Bear Hunt (Monday - Saturday). They take a maximum of 5 Bear Hunters a week; and often only 1 or 2 are in camp! Spring Bear Hunting Season runs the months of May & June. You will hunt black bear on a specially allocated outfitting area (Approx. 12,000 acres) in the Forest and Fringe area.
Included: The black bear hunting guided package includes guiding to and from well placed baited stands, home cooked meals, accommodations, all license fees, all taxes, and complementary capeing of your trophies.
Not included: Flight costs, transportation to and from camp to airport, gun/bow, ammunition, hunting cloths, personal items (such as soap, etc).

NEW BRUNSWICK #213 (2) BLACK BEAR & ATLANTIC SALMON FISHING ADVENTURE
|
BOOK NOW TO GET 2016 PRICES, AND INSURE YOUR 2017 LICENSES.
New Brunswick is changing how you get tags. In the past it was OTC. Now they are going to an outfitter quota system, so we need you to book early to insure the outfitter can acquire your tags.
We discovered this outfitter and team back in 2008, and they have proven every year since then to be very successful - and they also are fun people to work with. They have quite a variety, ranging from excellent black bear, to Atlantic Salmon fishing , to superb striped bass fishing, and also good bird hunting.
As to the bear hunting- these folks have been at or close to 100% for many years! With the new 2014 two bear limit, you can shoot the first good bear you see and then hold out for a bruiser on the second tag.
They maintain many bait stations - far more than needed. The main Lodge is practically new, of peeled cedar logs, with a gorgeous stone fireplace. The River is right in front of the Lodge, so a hot shower, and then sitting on the porch with a cold beer is a fine relaxing time! They very rarely have anyone go home without a bear! Bears will average between 5 to 6.5 feet, meaning nice mature bears in the 200 to 250 pound range and some much larger.

SALMON FISHING
Currently, almost one-third of all two-sea-winter Atlantic Salmon (meaning 2 years in salt water) that are migrating to North American rivers-- were spawned in the Miramichi River system. Truly, this river is a world treasure, but it gives up its salmon reluctantly.
Spring and Fall fishing for salmon is basically fly fishing only- although there is some trout fishing you can do with barbless lures; some early spring fly trolling for anyone to do, and some good striped bass fishing as well. Stripers are caught by trolling- and 20 to 40 fish a day is possible, in the 5 to 20 pound range. All must be released though. But if you tag your bear early (good chance)- the fishing will keep you busy! 2017 PRICES: (OBSERVERS $500) 5 Day One Bear Hunting Trip: SPRING OR FALL $1995 Opportunity to hunt second bear $750 if booked during the hunt. TWO Bear Hunt $2495 if you book both bears up front saving $250 All hunts include a few hours of free fishing in the morning. Must buy fishing licenses. SEASON Sept. 1-Nov. 1, 2016 (fall) Sept. 21-26, 2015 (bow or crossbow only) April 18-June 25, 2016 (spring) LODGING The Lodge is nearly new and sleeps seven. There is also a cabin and another new facility is now completed that will sleep twelve, so they have a lot of flexibility in terms of larger groups who want to stick together.

URGENT NOTICE TO HUNTERS TRAVELLING OUTSIDE THE USA
|
We have received information indicating that several US hunters have run into refusals to allow firearms to be boarded onto planes, or admitted into foreign countries. This is because of an "Expiration Date" that appears in the upper right hand corner of more recent versions of the required form 4457. If you are not familiar with it, the Form 4457 is about post card sized. It is issued by US Customs- easy to get at nearest customs office -and Mandatory if you travel with a gun. We checked our forms (older versions) and no such "expiration date" appears. But some Forms show a 2/29/2016 "Expiration Date".
This unfortunate choice of words does NOT mean the 4457 is not good. In fact once signed and stamped- it is good forever! This newly added so called expiration date simply is an internal customs date for review of the form! But no wonder airlines and foreign security get concerned.
Check your 4457's right now. We think (but are not positive) that if your form is an older one with no expiration date, you should be good to go. If you show an expiration date that has passed, go get a new one! Various people are urging Customs to choose different wording.

NAMIBIA #173 BOW HUNTING ONLY CONCESSION
|
This is a premiere Archery destination and has been incredibly successful for many years. This is a bow hunting mecca and many clients will so attest. Some very well known figures from the Archery world have taped shows and hunted here as well. There is probably not a better bow hunting operation anywhere in Africa!
Some may be almost as good, but we absolutely believe there are none better. They have operated since their inception exclusively as a bow hunting operation. No guns going bang here!
They have over 10,000 acres of totally free range bow hunting only, private ground that they have improved steadily every year. It is now a paradise for bow hunting with the many waterholes they have built, the growth they have stimulated, and an incredible assortment of kudu, eland, gemsbok, warthogs and much more. Seeing many dozens of animals and a variety of species daily is commonplace.
At the lodge, you can relax under the stars while sitting around a blazing fire enjoying your favorite beverage, or relax in the Jacuzzi after a successful hunt. All hunts are recorded on DVD and can be viewed in our luxurious trophy room where satellite TV and Free Wi-Fi Internet access is also available. And you are presented with a copy of the video of your hunt when you leave!! Hunting here is generally Ala Carte- meaning you only pay for what you shoot or wound. So you pay the Daily Rates, plus their trophy fees. Please contact us for full details on trophy fees etc.
They can arrange tours, fishing and animal viewing and photo shoots for any non-observers, or perhaps a tour of Etosha Park. Many options exist in addition to the pool and tennis courts.
DAILY RATES 2016 1 Client / 1 Guide (Plains game) - $ 380.00 2 Clients / 1 Guide (Plains game)- $ 300.00 Non-hunters (per person) - $ 175.00

KANSAS #5 WINTER UPLAND & WATERFOWL
|

Once the Dakotas and the Nebraska waters freeze up, the ducks and geese come piling into Kansas to take advantage of the reservoir systems and the abundant croplands. Some winters the waterfowl never leave the friendly confines of central Kansas.
This outfitter specializes in field shooting for geese and takes a variety of Canada's, white-fronted geese or specks and snow and blue geese. Limits are common. Often you may shoot a hodgepodge of ducks right along with the geese, but the outfitter does offer specialized duck hunts over water, too. The hunting is from lay-out blinds in prime pre-scouted fields over big spreads of lifelike decoys
Hunt Nov. to January for ducks, late Dec. to end of Jan. best for both ducks, and geese, with geese hunting best Jan. and Feb. You can add a few hours of wild pheasant hunting to the waterfowl hunts booked before Jan. 31. Preserve pheasants any time. Call for a package quote.
