TURKEY   BEZOAR IBEX AND MID EASTERN STAG
Call our office for specific      Pricing and Itinerary.

BEZOAR IBEX
Is one of the most uniquely created member of the goat family in the world and accepted as the most handsome of the ibex species by some. Among all the ibex, it has the longest horns compared to its body size, reaching up to 57" in some cases. The hide of the male ibex is decorated in a wonderful harmony of black and ash colors during the winter season. Turkey is a very important destination for Bezoar hunters, with its great population and excellent trophy quality.

Depending on the area, November and December are the rutting season and these months, along with January and February are the most suitable for hunting. Legal limit of trophy size anyone is allowed by game law is 100cm (39˝ inches) while average size can vary between 40-44" from area to area. Anything above 45'' should be regarded as a very nice trophy although 50" considered to be the magic number. This hunt also can be combined with the Anatolian chamois, Hybrid ibex and wild boar.

How to arrive to area; There are direct daily flights of Turkish Airlines and Delta from New York and Chicago to Istanbul. In addition to these Turkish Airlines also have direct scheduled flights from L.A.,Houston and Washington to Istanbul. Istanbul also can be reached from many major European cities easily. As Turkish Airlines has connecting flights to South of Turkey where we conduct our Bezoar hunts, we recommend our hunters to fly via Turkish Airlines as they can get the advantage of checking in all the way through to the last destination.

The price & conditions; They have areas where you can get almost 100% success and any trophy size mainly between 36"-46". In these areas it is also possible to get bigger trophies for certain.

Some of the areas that they have are very special and therefore are called prime areas. These areas can produce any size over 115-127+ cm (45''up to 50+") and even more in some extreme cases. The chances of collecting around 50 inch class trophies in prime areas are higher, compared to regular areas.

In these prime areas, the price for Bezoar is US$16,900
up to 110 cm + US$450/cm for over 110 cm.(43" & up). Hunter can easily expect around 110cm and more horn length in these areas.

In their standard areas, the price of Bezoar is US$10,900
up to 90 cm +$300/cm for over 90 cm for standard areas which you can expect to receive trophies between 100-115 cm (40-44")

ANATOLIAN RED STAG
Also named as "Mid-eastern Red Stag" (cervus elaphus maral). Turkish Red stag is strong as the European one, partly even stronger. Old stags might have antler weights of 11 to 14 kilogram, with 300-350 kg body weight. Exceptionally strong ones are also possible as the areas are opened to hunting for the first time after many years and areas are promising wonderful trophies.
Rutting time depends on the area however; these amazing bulls mainly have the rut around mid September thru mid October.

The Anatolian Red Stag is hunted in several areas, located mainly in central Turkey.  The hunting grounds in mountains are not very high; around 800 mt - 1.500 mt (2.500'- 4.900'). Many areas can be reached in 2 to 4 hours with a smooth drive.

In all of the areas, spotting & stalking type of hunt (at early morning and late evening hours) is the main method. Surely some of the areas are easier, compare to many others. But one should always keep in mind that as a general rule, older bulls live in rougher terrain where accessibility and reaching takes time.

From September thru end of October is the rutting season although different areas might have different rutting periods. Therefore, hunts are mainly done in September and October.
Success rate is almost 90 % on these periods. Although it is hard to make a general statement about weather conditions, the temperature should be around 60 - 78 F (15 - 25 C) during the day in September while it is a bit cooler in October.
The accommodation type is mainly small nice hotels, village or guest houses.
The price - $17,500- any size

The price includes; custom handling, hunting organization up to mentioned days, one trophy fee of mentioned specie, hunting license, gun import permit, area fees, transfers from/to closest airport, full board accommodation in the hunting area, interpreter and local guide.
The price excludes; international & domestic air fares, visa cost, trophy shipment, insurance, gratuities, hotel accommodation before/after the hunt, sightseeing, personal expenses.
Observer fee is $1,750,-/person..

ZIMBABWE #88     LAST MINUTE LEOPARD HUNT
One of our extremely proficient PH's who has produced incredibly well for our clients. We have had clients with over 20 Safaris under their belt call him "One of the very finest  I ever hunted with".  He is that good! He has a leopard hunt in the famed  Matetsi area.
This is a bargain!

This Leopard hunt may take place anytime from now to the middle of November. After that , once the rains come it is difficult to get the cat . The camp is 45 kilometres from the Victoria Falls airport on black top so clients need to fly into Victoria Falls airport where you will be picked up and dropped back off for no additional charge.

In this area the past success rate is 50% to 60% depending on the effort put into baiting. The clients must concentrate on the Leopard and not any other game if they want to be successful. Pre-baiting will increase those odds and it also helps avoid an area that is not showing leopard sign. We highly recommend pre-baiting.

The camp  is brick under thatch with running water and electricity. Very comfortable with private bath.

"We were in camp two weeks ago and there was good movement of big males, and we actually counted 5 different male tracks in the area - ranging in size from average to very big", according to the outfitter.

The Prebaiting is always done on request from the client --so it is not included in the price.  Outfitter recommends to do 4 days Prebaiting at $250 per day. When the client arrives, if more baits are needed, this will be added onto the clients account. 10 baits included in the base package price.

14 Day Leopard Hunt-- Only $17,750  -INCLUDING TROPHY FEE!
1x1 GUIDING. FREE AIRPORT PICKUP.

Deposit required- A deposit of the full daily rates along with the, 2% govt levy on daily rate and the 15% Govt tax on accommodation.
The client needs to bring in the balance of payment with him. It is very important that the client fills in a form 47 on arrival at Victoria Falls airport declaring all monies for the hunt -----otherwise the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe will not allow outfitter to export any trophies!

SOUTH DAKOTA #101     TROPHY BISON HUNTS
Our research led us to this outfitter in the Northeast part of South Dakota. We believe this outfitter provides one of the most challenging Bison hunts in the country.

These bison run on 7,000 acres of rolling hills, canyons and prairie much like there ancestors did. They are about 500 in number and you will need to stalk them. You pick how you prefer to hunt - using archery, black powder, rifle, or pistol. Whatever your weapon of choice, you will earn your trophy, you are not shooting fish in a barrel here. Of course bison are a plains animal, normally quite visible, so please bear that in mind.
The hunts are conducted mid December to the end of February when the robes are in the best condition. He usually allows you two days, but will give you a third day if needed. Success is 100% and he is not going to let you leave without your bison trophy.

He is offering three Bison hunts
TROPHY BUFFALO BULL (Large Bulls)   $5,680
(Most of these bulls would score B&C or P&Y)
BUFFALO BULL HUNT (medium Bull)   $4,780

KODIAK #51      BROWN BEAR & SITKA BLACKTAIL
ONE OF OUR FAVORITES

We have worked with this excellent outfitter for about 12 years, during which time he has consistently yielded excellent result with happy customers. We like the fact that he personally guides nearly all of his hunts!

All is strictly fair chase, and being in good physical condition is necessary for a Kodiak bear or deer hunt, as climbing up and down the many high hills, pushing through willows, up and down tree choked draws-- etc- is a frequent thing. This is true for both his bear hunts, and for his Sitka Blacktail deer hunts! Bear numbers have been on a steady upswing on Kodiak for at least the last 7 to 10 years, and it appears bear numbers may be at or close to, all time highs! This is the time to go to Kodiak! And this guy is good- among the best THERE IS on the island. He guided one of our clients in 2014 to a 10 foot plus bear on the fall hunt.

He has a 2500 square foot newly improved lodge and also spike camps.  He provides all in field transport, expert trophy care and is a very dedicated guy who wants his clients to succeed. If you want a great hunt at a relatively modest cost, then he deserves your most serious consideration.

BEAR HUNTS:
This is one of the world's best and most classic bear hunts - and this guy takes bears that consistently exceed 9', and he can average 9.5' in a good year!! And of course the 10 footers are there as well. It's a draw hunt for his brownie area, with around a 75 to 90% chance of drawing and with a kill rate in the 90% range every year! Bears average nine to nine and a half feet.  All brown bear hunts on Kodiak Island are by drawing permit and the odds of drawing have been 70-100%.

HUNGARY #171   GIANT FALLOW DEER, BOAR & STAG
Hungary is about the size of Indiana and borders Austria on the west and Romania on the east. Very fertile rolling plains abound. Both the Danube and Tisza Rivers dominate, splitting the country into 3 parts. The high point is only 2,894 feet.

The biggest Fallow deer, arguably in the world, come from Hungary, including the world record.

The forestry area in northeastern Hungary called GUTH/ NYIRERDÖ -- is famous for its excellent game, especially the main game of fallow deer. This area produces some true giants and many have made SCI record books. In addition, there are Red Deer, Roe deer and Wild Boar. To hunt in the area known as Guth is a special experience, where quality is paramount. Very high success- usually 100%.

*HUNTING AREA: Approx. 11.500 hectares (about 25,000 acres)
*NATURAL FEATURES: 67 % woodland
*ACCOMMODATION: is in three different lodges.

The harvested trophies have to be presented to the official Trophy Assessment Commission after the hunt and cannot be taken along by the hunter. The trophies will later be sent to clients address.

The chargeable weight of the horns needs to be entered into the hunting protocol by the game reserve. The basis of invoicing is the trophy weight that has been officially determined by the Trophy Assessment Commission 24 hours after boiling. The harvested and paid trophy is the property of the hunter, except for the game meat, which can be acquired by the hunting guest at an extra charge. The same applies to coats.

The final invoice is based on the completed and mutually signed shooting list according to the respective price list. For wounded game 50% of estimated trophy weight and/or harvest fee is charged.

For a custom quote, please contact us and request the complete write up for Hungary #171.
