SOUTH DAKOTA #101 TROPHY BISON HUNTS
|
Our research led us to this outfitter in the Northeast part of South Dakota. We believe this outfitter provides one of the most challenging Bison hunts in the country.
These bison run on 7,000 acres of rolling hills, canyons and prairie much like there ancestors did. They are about 500 in number and you will need to stalk them. You pick how you prefer to hunt - using archery, black powder, rifle, or pistol. Whatever your weapon of choice, you will earn your trophy, you are not shooting fish in a barrel here. Of course bison are a plains animal, normally quite visible, so please bear that in mind.
The hunts are conducted mid December to the end of February when the robes are in the best condition. He usually allows you two days, but will give you a third day if needed. Success is 100% and he is not going to let you leave without your bison trophy.
He is offering three Bison hunts TROPHY BUFFALO BULL (Large Bulls) $5,680 (Most of these bulls would score B&C or P&Y) BUFFALO BULL HUNT (medium Bull) $4,780 BUFFALO COW HUNT (meat hunt live weight approx 850 lb) $2,980

SOUTH AFRICAN RHINO HUNT IMPORTABLE $17,500
|
If you want to collect the Big 5- you need a Rhino. You can spend $30,000 and more for one. You can also dart them - but your only trophy is a picture. On this hunt you get to keep the animal for a mount, and spend half of what you would otherwise spend.
This Professional Hunter is the first PH that Butch ever hunted with in Africa over 20 years ago, and to this date he continues to be one of the finest we work with. Many of our clients have hunted with him and all reported on him in glowing terms.
He has two (2) rhino bulls available for hunting about 40 minutes from his compound. They have been dehorned a few years ago, but as you can see from the picture, there has been some re-growth. If the landowner keeps the horn, the price is $17,500 each. If you want to take the horn, then the price is $21,000 each. The PH's day rate is only $350/day! If you elect not to keep the horn, most competent taxidermists can fashion a replacement that looks original.
We expect 3 days to be sufficient, so add that cost on. DATES ARE FLEXIBLE, BUT SHOULD HAPPEN IN NEXT 90 DAYS. Fly thru Johannesburg into Kimberley for free pickup and return. Also, in order to get the export permit you will need a submit a detailed Hunting CV along with some pictures of your larger game taken previously. Permit takes about 30 days to secure. We have verified with our customs broker that they are importable without any major problems.
In addition to marking down his day rate on this hunt to just $350 per day, if you want other game, including plains game, we can hold that day rate and arrange a further safari for you. Ask us for his complete writeup.
His facilities are wonderful and his service is tremendous. A client of ours, just in conversation, expressed a liking for a particular wine, and they drove hours to surprise him with it that next evening! That is a class operation.

SCOTLAND/ENGLAND #76 HILL STAGS- 2 FOR $5950
|

HUNT THE MOORS FOR WILD RED STAG!
Perfect Trip For a Husband/Wife Get Away.
Call our office for specific Pricing and Itinerary.
If there is such a thing as the perfect hunt to take your spouse or significant other --than this is it! Indeed, this hunt actually makes a real effort to specially cater to the non-hunters. He has in his employ a professionally licensed tour guide-who takes the non-hunters every day for various adventures. Meanwhile, us poor suffering hunters have to get along by staggering around chasing the King's deer- the wild and free ranging Hill stags.

Normally many stags will be seen each day, and you will typically be guided out of an Argo (a 6 or 8 wheeled ATV), and often may be picked up right at the door of the estate where you will be staying. Off to the moors and a'stalking you will go. These are hill stags-not the giant pen raised stags you see in various ads. You must adjust your expectations, but having done so, this hunt, we hasten to tell you--is an absolutely wonderful experience. Our outfitter has been at this for many years, has handled hundreds of US hunters, and knows what is needed. This is a first class hunt-but done royally, if you will. And there is also wild brown trout fishing available, and some sea runs also!
2 Openings- September 11-18/ Sept 18-25
THIS IS DURING THE ROAR!
ENGLAND HUNTS IN THE FALL

NEW MEXICO #90 LATE SEASON RIFLE ELK HUNT-2016
|

We have worked with this outfitter for about 12 years or more and he has been operating for over 20 years in New Mexico, with a sterling record for honesty, hard work and producing elk. We have probably sent him over 100 clients. He controls leases on more than 20 different private ranches.
Elevations average from about 7,000 feet to as high as 10,000 feet resulting in a variety of cover and hunting styles, depending on which ranch you hunt and what your dates are. High country or low, he covers it all, and has some big mule deer.
Many of his guides have been with him for over 10 years, and some for over 20 years, which says a lot for the quality of the operation.
This is a class guy, a no BS sort, who will tell you how it is, and who enjoys getting clients their elk. Also, all this outfitter's New Mexico Elk Hunts INCLUDE THE LANDOWNER TAG! So you do not have to enter any draw! Just buy the hunt and the landowner tag allows you to buy your elk license over the counter. High success, good bulls, a class operation and no draw.
This outfitter averages around 95%+ opportunity on both bow and rifle elk hunts on his fully guided hunts; and about 80% on the ground. He only shoots 5 x 5 or better bulls and more typically 6X6's, and has been doing it for years. Dead on the ground rifle averages are typically about 80% and about half of that for bow, which is still excellent. That's about as good as it gets!
Mature 5X5 and 6X6 bulls taken here will average between about 270 to 295 with the better bulls hitting up to 320-inches B& C. Of course, a few larger bulls are taken. Most good outfitters in New Mexico produce trophy elk in that same range. That is the reality. His deer consistently beat the 170-175 mark- meaning truly excellent bucks.

DISCOUNTED $1000, Nov. 15-19 2X1 $5,100, 1X1 $5,600
OTHER DATES AVAILABLE @ 2X1 6,100, 1X1 $6,600
NOV.27- Dec. 2, Dec. 6-10, 14-18, and 27-31.
Includes: guiding, lodging, meals and game retrieval. Your license and tips are extra. Not included: State tax of 6.1% due on arrival and elk licenses $634.00.

SO. AFRICA #256 OUTSTANDING PLAINS GAME SAFARI- WE HAVE BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES!!
|
Our good friend and client Chris C., once again returned to Africa to hunt with this excellent operation, located on the East Cape. With some very accurate long distance shooting, he took Cape Kudu, Gemsbok, Black Wildebeest; Zebra, Red Hartebeest, Waterbuck and more! This is his second trip here, and plans are afoot to have his brother Dave, do it next year!
Butch, Joan and their son Ed, have all hunted here, as have a number of our clients. This is a really unique operation - unique because it is a huge free range area- all unfenced! With their various locations in all you can hunt 1.2 million acres of free range.
You can hunt over 1800 square miles in 3 major parcels! Because it is so vast and wild, and because they patrol it, poaching is not a big factor. Some areas seldom if ever get hunted due to its vastness. It is common to see animals that guides have never seen before, and that means the game has the seclusion and the time to grow to big trophy sizes. It is a treasure, in our opinion. It is truly vast and is all privately owned. You will feel that you have earned your animals here, and you will be hunting in very varied terrain from savannahs to mountains to valley pans and in between. Some awesome scenery and magnificent vistas to enjoy; and very untouched and under-hunted. We know, we hunted it ourselves in June of 2013.
The duration of the hunt and the selection of species will help determine the areas hunted. On an 8 day safari you typically hunt 2 areas. To logistically hunt all of their 3 areas-- you would need 10 to 12 days.
There are two ways to set up your safari. The first is ala Carte (pay a daily rate and then pay for each individual trophy) - or put together a package. Packages normally allow a bit of discount and packages can be tailored- just ask us.
TRANSPORT: Fly to Johannesburg. Then depending on your area of hunting, fly on to either Port Elizabeth or Durban for pickup and transport to the camp you will be hunting. There is no current charge for pickup. We assist you with that planning.

ADVENTURE FISHING TRIPS COSTA RICA, GUATEMALA & ARGENTINA
|
Hunting seasons will end soon enough- then what do you do?? How about an adventuresome fishing trip? I am arbitrarily setting a budget of up to about $4000 apiece, without flights and tips. So these are true bargains with big adventure!
BRAZIL: I have multiple boat based operations- all of which are awesome. I have omitted those costing well over $4k. I have two great operations - #7 and #93. They are quite different. Both have peacock bass and many exotic other species. The #7 has unique floating hotel rooms- each room on its own mini-barge, all towed by the larger ship. Very portable that way to reach the best fishing. You can meet my arbitrary $4k budget by booking their so called "short trip" of 4 days of fishing. The #93 is basically a tented variation - but it is a 10 day long adventure (less of course is possible). It is the more adventurous trip.
COSTA RICA: This is a great destination for really big tarpon and huge snook and a variety of other fish Primarily a boat fishery, but some surf fishing can be done for giant snook (30 to 50 pounds) if desired. Pricing well within the budget. Trip #184.
ARGENTINA: This place has a variety of things from Golden Dorado fishing to trout fishing to waterfowl, water buffalo and more. It is well within the budget I set. ARG # 191.
GUATEMALA: Some unbelievable bill fishing stories come from here- stories of hooking and raising 10, 20 and 30 or more billfish in a single day! They can teach you the tricks of fly fishing for them, or use conventional tackle or try both. And stay in the lap of luxury as well! A 4 night, 3 days of fishing package for 4 people is just $1830 per person, with boat, meals and lodging!
Contact us for the complete writeups on each separate trip you find interesting. Just ask by number and we will send them.

COLORADO PRIVATE LAND ELK/ANTELOPE SAVE $1400
|
This is a very unique situation. The rancher has elk vouchers that allow the hunting of bulls with rifle in September and early October, during what is normally an archery only season! Basically these are depredation type vouchers as there are far too many elk in that unit. Literally thousands too many! The rancher had 5 tags, and 3 tags remain.
Add to that hunt the fact that the rancher has two antelope tags for the ranch. Normally it takes 7 to 10 years to draw an antelope tag in this area! But she has them - so no draw. The rancher will issue you the vouchers directly, and by using them --you them can buy your elk and antelope tags over the counter.
We are now offering a combination rifle elk and rifle antelope hunt on this private ranch for only $6995- instead of the normal $8395! You save $1400! Just book it and you can go- no draws. ALL HUNTS ARE 2X1, AND INCLUDE GUIDING,MEALS AND LODGING.
Or just book an elk hunt for either Sept 10-14 or Sept 26-30, 2016 for $5995. Or book just a antelope hunt for $2495
HUNT DATES:
Combination antelope/elk: October 4 -8, 2016. $6995 Save $1400!! TWO SPOTS ONLY
Elk only: $5995- Dates- Sept 10-14 or Sept 26-30, 2016
Antelope only: $2495 Dates: Oct 4,5 and 6; possibly Oct 1-3, 2016.

HUNT #37 PATAGONIA STAG & HOT BARREL DOVES
|
PATAGONIA! Just the name inspires visions of mountains, wonderful trout streams, Andean condors floating above rocky crags, and big red stags roaring out their challenges.
It is a rugged but beautiful area with generally open but steeply rolling terrain. Game is quite visible normally, and stalking into range can be a challenge. There are also some huge wild boars, which can be reclusive.
Hunting is done normally on foot, using vehicles into the hunt area. From there, climb or walk to a high ridge or mountain top and glass; then stalk your chosen animal. In mid-March to mid April, the stags are roaring loudly and often, and glassing and watching the hi-jinks is great sport indeed. Horses may be used sometimes also. This outfitter has two 5 star lodges totaling 85,000 acres in Patagonia.
If you're looking to hunt really big free range stag, in the mountains, with world class accommodations, this is the place. This is one of the few places in Argentina that you can be reasonably sure of taking a gold medal stag in free range, and at an affordable price.
TRANSPORT: Hunters fly into Bariloche after first flying into Buenos Aires. One lodge is 60,000 private acres and is about 60 miles north of San Carlos de Bariloche. The second lodge is 25,000 acres and is best accessed from San Martin de los Andes which is about 55 miles from the airport.
OTHER GAME TO HUNT: There are a variety of other species available here as well: Blackbuck, Pere David deer, Alpine Ibex (these tw species often sell out early), fallow deer, European mouflon, hybrid sheep, wild boar, wild goat, Somalian ram, Patagonian ram, Patagonian Dall, Axis deer, multihorn ram, Feral Oxen, Black Jacob's ram, Balearean Boc.
STAG/DOVE PACKAGE: Price $ 7950. MARCH-JUNE
One stag up to 319 SCI points. 6 days, 5 nights, 1X1 guiding with all meals and luxury lodging; free Argentine wines. Eat like a gourmet! Luxurious living while hunting in the mountains.
