S. DAKOTA #101 ARCHERY TROPHY WHITETAILS
|
This outfitter only offers Archery Whitetail Deer Hunts to a limited number of discriminating clients looking for an opportunity to harvest a trophy class whitetail buck.
Hunts are done under the rules of fair chase as there are no high fences. The "All-Inclusive" Whitetail Hunts were created for the sole purpose of providing the hunter with a high quality hunting experience.
All of the Guides are Archery Hunters and know the habits and patterns of the deer and know what it takes to get you close enough for that shot of a lifetime.
The deer management goal is to harvest only mature bucks that score a minimum of 125". With this Management Goal in mind, there will be a $600 fee assessed on any Buck harvested that scores under 125" (Gross). During the 2015 Season, they ran 90% shot opportunity on 125" or better bucks.
The biggest buck harvested on our place scored 183 6/8" and will rank as the 3rd All-Time Archery Buck harvested in South Dakota!
Hunting: A typical day consists of a morning hunt, a nap during the mid-day (depending upon the rut), and an evening hunt. Many of our deer hunters will add a day or two of pheasant hunting . It is a great way to spend the down time away from the deer stand. They can accommodate all types of hunters.
Land: All whitetail hunting is done on 25,000 Private Acres from Ladder Tree Stands, Double Bull Ground Blinds and Blind Turtle Hard Shell Blinds with over 100 different specific locations for the 2016 season. You will hunt the edges of bedding areas, food plots, corn fields, funnels between bedding and feeding, waterholes, and much more.
License: The license is a Lottery Draw, but as a Non-Resident, you are guaranteed to receive the license if you apply. Applicants may apply for a license throughout the season. Please allow approximately 7-10 business days for the license to be processed and mailed to you before you leave for your hunt. The cost of the license is $285 for the upcoming season. Licenses can be applied for at the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks website. http://gfp.sd.gov

SCOTLAND #76 FREE RANGE RED STAG
| HUNT THE MOORS FOR WILD RED STAG! Perfect Trip For a Husband/Wife Get Away. Call our office for specific Pricing and Itinerary.
If there is such a thing as the perfect hunt to take your spouse or significant other --than this is it! Indeed, this hunt actually makes a real effort to specially cater to the non-hunters. He has in his employ a professionally licensed tour guide-who takes the non-hunters every day for various adventures. Meanwhile, us poor suffering hunters have to get along by staggering around chasing the King's deer- the wild and free ranging Hill stags. Typically everyone has a breakfast, departs for their various forays, then returns at night for a hot bath, cocktails, (plenty of scotch is available!) stories and jokes, then a magnificent dinner. Coffee in the lounge or a few sips of an after dinner drink, then retire to relative luxury to pass the evening and night away. These are 4 star accommodations, and a special effort is made to insure you are happy and contented.
Of course the stags are not so courteous, and they must be earned. Normally many stags will be seen each day, and you will typically be guided out of an Argo (a 6 or 8 wheeled ATV), and often may be picked up right at the door of the estate where you will be staying. Off to the moors and a'stalking you will go. These are hill stags-not the giant pen raised stags you see in various ads. You must adjust your expectations, but having done so, this hunt, we hasten to tell you--is an absolutely wonderful experience. Our outfitter has been at this for many years, has handled hundreds of US hunters, and knows what is needed. This is a first class hunt-but done royally, if you will. And there is also wild brown trout fishing available, and some sea runs also!

TEXAS #123 2017 AOUDAD - LIMITED OPENINGS
|
These Hunts have been gaining in popularity and price every year and sell out quickly. So call now to reserve your dates.
These hunts take place in the Mountains of West Texas. Although the outfitter covers a lot of ground on 4 wheelers, this hunt can still be physically demanding and will be to your advantage to be in good physical shape. They hunt elevations of 4500-6500 feet on some rugged rocky terrain in a typical desert habitat. With temperatures ranging from 20 degrees to 85 degrees. Shots will average between 150 to 350 yards, although terrian can cause some shots to be 400+ yards. These are tough animals and we recommend at least a .270 Caliber Rifle.
These are free ranging sheep that have been wild in this area since the 1940's with outstanding genetics for large sheep.
History: Aoudad or Barbary Sheep are native to the Desert Mountains in the Sahara region of northern Africa. In 1924, aoudad were released on the Hearst Ranch-mostly unfenced-in San Luis Obispo County, California, and have since populated nearby areas, where they have been hunted without legal protection. They were introduced in 1950 in the Canadian River Canyon in New Mexico by the state game department, with hunting by drawn permit. Some of these animals have wandered across the Southwestern portion of the United States and as far as Colorado and Oklahoma. Abundant in the wilds of Texas, as a result of state-sponsored releases, also elsewhere from private releases. The aoudad is a superb game animal, exceptionally challenging to hunt.
4-day fully guided 2x1 hunt @ $3800
- This is a 2 on 1 guided hunt in West Texas for free ranging Aoudad, (Barbary sheep).

COLORADO #141 RFW ELK HUNT - SAVE $500
|
BOOK YOUR 2017 ELK HUNT AT 2016 PRICES. ALL HUNTS GO UP $500 FOR 2017.
I got a call from one of my Colorado Ranching For Wildlife operations Northwest of Steamboat Springs (Guaranteed Tags) and he reminded me of some late season openings.
Over the last 17 years, this outfitter has amassed a remarkable harvest percentage of 94.8% on branch-antlered bull elk. At one point, the outfitter could claim to have taken 307 bull elk for his last 320 clients! That's an impressive record!
This highly successful outfitter hunts on private ranches northwestern of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The elk herd in this area is reported to be 22,000 head. Most bull elk here will be good 5x 5's and 6x 6's, with some exceptional elk in the 320-inch class and above are harvested every season. Due to the outfitter's commitment to wildlife management and complete control of the property borders and boundaries, there is an amazing number of trophy elk available to the outfitter and his clients.
Ranches are equipped with hot running water, electricity, beds and most modern conveniences. Meals are served daily and are some of the finest western cuisine available. Hunting is done primarily on foot with 4WD vehicles, horses, and ATV to move around the ranches. Elevations vary from around 6,000 to 8,500 feet, but because of the ranch roads, there isn't a lot of climbing required.
Here are his words-
"I'm telling you these later hunts are something it's nothing to see 1000 elk in a day, the minute it start snowing every elk in this basin, coming off every private ranches in the area and migrates through or stages up on this property (107,000 acres)".

YUKON #16 MOOSE, GRIZZLY, MOUNTAIN CARIBOU AND STONE SHEEP!
|

This outfitter acquired this productive area in 2012. For over 40 years, the prior outfitter had been providing top quality trophy hunts. In fact one of Butch's buddies took the SCI #1 Mountain caribou here some years ago, and he also took the then #3 Mountain caribou back to back!
Some of our clients may know about the two B&C Stone sheep rams taken in 2012 by this outfitter in his new concession in the Yukon Territory. The two rams were both in the 43- inch class and measure in the low- to mid-170s. And if that was not enough, in 2013 they took another huge Mountain Caribou that green scored 442 points! Oh yeah, a moose of 224 too!
This area was formerly owned by a First Nations Indian Band and the area was hunted previously by horseback only. But this outfitters is using planes since 2013 with the idea of hunting previously untouched areas! If you want a Stone or Fannin Sheep, or a huge caribou or a giant moose - pay attention to this outfit!! Theirs is the largest hunting concession in western Canada with over 14 million acres of hunting paradise. The size and remoteness of their area allows clients to enjoy high success rates from game populations that have seldom or never seen people. Their area is estimated to have more Yukon moose than any other hunting area in the Yukon! Nearly 10,000 moose. Each year they also are expanding into new areas.

In 2014 their largest bull moose taken was 69-1/2 inches wide and scored 243 B&C. HUGE! Their second largest bull was 64-1/2" and scored 237. Both giant bulls! Several bulls were in the 220 class. With well over 100 lakes to hunt for moose they will be taking giants for years to come-but they fill up fast. NOW is the time to book for 2017!! They have over 25 camps they rotate through, plus numerous spike camps to hunt from by using horses, or lake hunts by boat, ATVs, Argos, and jet boats.

SASKATCHEWAN #15 FALL BLACK BEAR & DEER
|
The new owner bought this (2015) from an outfitter that we have done business with for years. Nothing will change it will still be the same great hunt for quality whitetail deer and outstanding Black Bear. The new owner is a quality person and will continue to run this outfit as a small, family operation with good home-cooked meals with an emphasis on quality over quantity hunting.
The outfitter will have 24 baited deer stands at any given time, but only takes five to six deer hunters per week. This insures that there are plenty of active stands for each group of hunters. They scout (using trail cams) and replenishing the baits while you are hunting. If you're not seeing game, the outfitter will move you to an active, hot stand. Very low hunting pressure combined with plenty of agriculture in the area means there's all the ingredients to produce big animals
The camp is a modern log lodge where meals and bull sessions take place. There's no smoking inside of any of the buildings, thereby insuring a scent-free environment. The outfitter hunts Zones 49 and 59 located northeast of Saskatoon, not far from the Manitoba border and the famed Carrot River. This area differs from far northern Saskatchewan, because here you are on the fringe of the boreal forest, with plenty of agriculture around, providing great deer and bear habitat and hunting. This is about the only area in Saskatchewan where Americans can hunt near agriculture! About 1200 acres is their own private ground, managed for deer and agriculture; while the rest (16,000 acres) is crown land for their exclusive hunting concession. This is a plus as the private agricultural ground helps attract and hold deer, bear and waterfowl all year round.

NO HUNTING ON SUNDAYS, SO YOU ARRIVE ON SUNDAY, AND DEPART ON SUNDAY HUNT THE 6 DAYS IN BETWEEN.
(6) full days of hunting, meals, lodging, tax, transportation to and from stand along with trophy care.

Your package includes your license and the Canadian GST (goods and service tax). This is one of the best deals in Saskatchewan!

FALL BEAR HUNTS
If you can travel light, and fast DON'T pass up this Fall Bear hunt.
DATES - September 19-24 and Sept 26-Oct 1st
The outfitter offers exceptional bear hunting for better-than-average bruins. A few years ago a client took a 544-pound boar with a bow! Plenty of color- phase bruins too including chocolate, cinnamon, and blonde. The outfitter takes a very limited number of bear hunters. Combine that with the fact the bear population is high, add to that the fact that size is well above average, add in nearly 100% opportunity to harvest a mature bear and you have the ingredients of an outstanding hunt.
NOW- Add to this the fact that the price is a very reasonable $2,400 and that includes your license and the GST tax! We like this hunt and this outfitter's operation a lot! . Everyone we have sent here over the last dozen years has killed a good bear. The trail cams prove that there are plenty of bears to choose from

COLORADO #239 WILDERNESS ARCHERY ELK HUNT
|
THERE IS STILL TIME TO BOOK AN ARCHERY RUT ELK HUNT. If you can travel light and fast here is a GREATLY reduced elk hunt.
The outfitter ONLY takes four hunters at a time. The result is low hunting pressure and increased opportunities for success!
Hunts are five full days, 2 x 1 plus a day in and a day out, although it's really only a one to two hour ride and you're hunting the whole way in and out. Lodging and meals are included. (Wilderness tent Camp)
Pack in Oct 12th or 18th out the 18th or 24th.
Hunt price is $3495 per person.
2 spots each hunt.
This is a classic western hunt with tents, horses, wild country and phenomenal scenery. Excellent bow hunting here.
This hunt is a heck of a deal! You'd expect to pay $2,000 more for a comparable wilderness horseback hunt and probably have less success. But mountain hunts are never easy- remember that.
These usually produce well based on past history and current high elk populations. Bulls topping 300-inches are taken every year, but the average is a 5X5, with some nice 6X6's.
