YUKON #16   MOOSE, GRIZZLY, MOUNTAIN CARIBOU                            AND STONE SHEEP!
This outfitter acquired this productive area in 2012. For over 40 years, the prior outfitter had been providing top quality trophy hunts. In fact one of Butch's buddies took the SCI #1 Mountain caribou here some years ago, and he also took the then #3 Mountain caribou back to back!

Some of our clients may know about the two B&C Stone sheep rams taken in 2012 by this outfitter in his new concession in the Yukon Territory. The two rams were both in the 43- inch class and measure in the low- to mid-170s. They are expected to make the record book. And if that was not enough, in 2013 they took another huge Mountain Caribou that green scored 442 points! Oh yeah, a moose of 224 too!

This area was formerly owned by a First Nations Indian Band and the area was hunted previously by horseback only. But this  outfitters is  using planes since 2013 with the idea of hunting previously untouched areas! If you want a Stone or Fannin Sheep, or a huge caribou or a giant moose - pay attention to this outfit!!  Theirs is the largest hunting concession in western Canada with over 14 million acres of hunting paradise. The size and remoteness of their area allows clients to enjoy high success rates  from game populations that have seldom or never seen people. Their area is estimated to have more Yukon moose than any other hunting area in the Yukon! Nearly 10,000 moose. Each year they also are expanding into new areas.
In 2014 their largest bull moose taken was 69-1/2 inches wide and scored 243 B&C. HUGE! Their second largest bull was 64-1/2" and scored 237. Both giant bulls! Several bulls were in the 220 class. With well over 100 lakes to hunt for moose they will be taking giants for years to come-but they fill up fast. NOW is the time to book for 2017!! We feel this area may well be a best choice for anyone looking to hunt for a giant Yukon bull. They have over 25 camps they rotate through, plus numerous spike camps to hunt from by using horses, or lake hunts by boat, ATVs, Argos, and jet boats.

In terms of location and size, his area is located in Southern Namibia, about a 4 hour drive south from Windhoek. He is located on the fringe of the desert and the mountains and you will be hunting a total of 400,000 acres! So you are surrounded by desert and mountains- a very unique hunt in a very ancient and different area then most of us are used to. MARLIN: The Blue Marlin is the most common of their Marlin and cruise their waters all year. They peak in November and December as well as in March and April. Black Marlin are most abundant in July and August and a few Striped Marlin are around at the same time.

SAILFISH: Again year round when a half dozen of these fish are common any day of the year. From November to May the numbers increase and days of 12 fish or more are common.

DORADO: Catch them any day of the year, common January through May and very abundant November and December.

TUNA: Yellowfin is the main species. The smaller football size tuna hang around floating debris. Peak time for schools is July and August and November and December. As the smaller tuna are a favorite food of giant marlin, it is no wonder the Marlin peak at the same time.

SNAPPER: They have a dozen different kinds of snapper. Other bottom fish is the Broomtail Grouper as well as other groupers including the giant Goliath Grouper.

MISSOURI #70      TROPHY WHITETAIL DEER
If you are looking for a trophy whitetail
hunt you really don't need to look any farther. This outfitter in far Northeast Missouri is doing everything right. He has 1600 acres of private leases near Kohoka MO.

The land Includes crop fields, and food plots, with plenty of cover, and bottom land for the deer bed up in during the day. Just what you need to grow these big bucks they are shooting every year. All properties have box blinds, ladder stands, and a few hang on stands. Well thought out, and shooting lanes cut. They also have additional hangers available to toss up if needed in a hurry. And he uses trail cameras extensively, to monitor the deer.

Here is what his hunters say:
I found this outfitter 3 years ago, I will hunt with him as long as he will have me. He has the Mack daddy deer. He is one of the best I've ever seen. He knows his deer (I get photos from the game cameras throughout the year so I know what I'm looking for when I get there), he has great stand locations (Eddie)

I've been hunting with Austin the past two years. Both years have been exceptionally good. First year I killed a 245lb deer 142" and last year I saw a ton of great deer but never got a shot. In my opinion, every aspect of the hunting trip both years have been spot on. Meals are great with him and his family. The lodging has all the amenities us hunters need.  He knows every acre of their land and knows every deer that shows up from year to year. I'm often amazed at how well he can tell them apart from year to year. Every deer I have seen harvested from their land has been great quality as far as body mass and bone mass. He sets his stands in great locations that have great cover and allow you to see every direction in order to make the best shot on a trophy. There really isn't a bad stand location on their property. (Marcus)

Largest buck to date harvested by a client is a 185 " deer. But three larger have been harvested by his father in past years before they started outfitting one being 196". There is one or two 200" deer harvested in the area every year.

You will see a bunch of deer, so take your time, this is a 5 day hunt, and they have plenty of ground, and blinds to move you around to. Success dead on the ground has been around 65 to 70%. That's real good considering that a lot of the hunters are passing on 140 inch deer knowing that there is a possibility for a true monster on this hunt.

BRAZIL #272   PEACOCK BASS IN THE AMAZON
Imagine waking up on your 125 foot long yacht and seeing the morning's red sun climbing into the sky. You remember falling into a peaceful sleep as a muffled generator purred and as water lapped against your mothership, all while you are resting in your air conditioned stateroom, deep in the remote Amazon rainforest.

The mighty Peacock Bass of Brazil's Amazon has become one of the most sought after freshwater fish species in the world since this fishery was opened in the early 1990's. This colorful hard fighting fish, which can weigh 25 lbs or better, is an aggressive feeder that will come out of 20 feet of water to demolish huge, noisy top water lures with a vengeance.  A Peacock Bass wants to crush anything invading his domain. They are out to kill that lure!
Visualize a 25 pound Smallmouth Bass having a bad hair day, and you will get an idea of what a Peacock Bass' temperament and fighting ability are all about! Peacock Bass will readily strike jerk baits, spoons, jigs and flies, but that explosive top water strike on a big Woodchopper or Rip Roller is what people come to Brazil's Amazon to experience.

SASKATCHEWAN #15   WHITETAILS AND BEARS
The new owner bought this outfit - (2015) from an outfitter that we have done business with for years. Nothing will change, it will still be the same great hunt for quality whitetail deer and outstanding Black Bear.

The new owner is a quality person and will continue to run this outfit as a small, family operation with good home-cooked meals with an emphasis on quality over quantity hunting. The outfitter will have 24 baited deer stands at any given time, but only takes five to six deer hunters per week. This insures that there are plenty of active stands for each group of hunters. They scout (using trail cams) and replenishing the baits while you are hunting. If you're not seeing game, the outfitter will move you to an active, hot stand.  Very low hunting pressure combined with plenty of agriculture in the area means there's all the ingredients to produce big animals.

The camp is a modern log lodge where meals and bull sessions take place. The outfitter hunts Zones 49 and 59 located northeast of Saskatoon, not far from the Manitoba border and the famed Carrot River. This area differs from far northern Saskatchewan, because here you are on the fringe of the boreal forest, with plenty of agriculture around, providing great deer and bear habitat and hunting. This is about the only area in Saskatchewan where Americans can hunt near agriculture!  About 1200 acres is their own private ground, managed for deer and agriculture; while the rest (16,000 acres) is crown land for their exclusive hunting concession. This is a plus as the private agricultural ground helps attract and hold deer, bear and waterfowl all year round.

They transport you by Truck, ATV and Snowmobiles into the area, and then they will walk you into your stand. All during your hunt they will continue to scout for new hot spots, plus they monitor all their trail cams and their other stand locations, all while keeping their Prime locations pre-baited and in great shape. They have some enclosed and heated stands for your comfort. (Heat is used when needed)(Heat is not available with the stands in the Provincial forest.) We like the fact that they are in a One Deer Zone- helping the age structure to stay good and beneficial to growing older deer.

Hunts start around Nov 1 and run into first week of December covering the entire rutting period.

Rifle Deer Hunts -
This outfitter's hunts are very reasonably priced at $3,600.
You'll find that most quality SK hunts are much more, but you're not likely to find any better. This outfitter really wants hunters to be able to hunt for a modest sum. They have told us that. Your package includes your license and the Canadian GST (goods and service tax).

This is one of the best deals in Saskatchewan! The outfitter will field dress and skin your game for you. Monster bucks in the 170- to 180-inch range are taken every year.  The kill rate typically averages in the 75% range, but about 70% of their business is return customers looking for Mr. Big so some guys choose go home empty handed holding out for a true giant. Bucks in the 135- to 155-inch class are average and a few lucky hunters will tag much larger bucks. Warm weather will retard deer movement, but expect cold temperatures, deer on the move and big bucks.

Archery Deer Hunts -
$2850 -6 days fully guided meals and Lodging
You must fly or drive to Saskatoon and rent a car. Budget is a good choice, BUT CALL THEIR LOCAL OFFICE TO GET BEST PRICES FOR HUNTERS.

Drive about three hours to the camp. Outfitter will supply a detailed map. No Sunday hunting in Saskatchewan, so arrive on a Sunday and leave on a Sunday, hunting Monday thru Saturday. During the fall deer season you must wear all solid white, all solid red or solid orange suit to be legal. No orange camouflage.

YUCATAN #203  JUNGLE HUNT FOR MULTIPLE SPECIES
Have you ever hunt in a rainforest? It is a truly unique experience, and one that not many hunters have enjoyed.    Dont miss this opportunity!  Come and hunt the species that are unique to the Yucatan and are found in the jungles of southern Mexico.

Species include ocellated turkey, red and brown brocket deer, forest cougar, greater curassow, crested guan, coati, collared peccary,  tepezcuintle, chachalaca and more. Although we haven't personally hunted with this operation, they have been in business over 15 years and have handled over 300 hunters. You may have seen TV shows with the likes of Jim Shockey, Craig Boddington, Colorado Buck and others. The Reports we have  give grades of excellent in almost every category from the experience, to the food to the lodging and to the guiding and hunting. But do realize this is jungle, not a comfortable plains hunt. The hunt area is very close to Guatemala.
Hunting is usually from March into May, and perhaps peaks toward May. You must fly into either Campeche or Mrida, in the Yucatn area of Mxico. Guiding is 1X1 and good food and lodging. In general there is a lot of opportunity on many species of game, and even wives have enjoyed the hunt. Of course it is extremely hot, so dress accordingly.
