HUNT NATION, A Division of Butch Manasse Outdoor Adventures & Safaris Worldwide, LLC, has been in operation for over 16 years, full time. In that time we have grown to 25,000 clients and over 350 outfitters, located all around the Globe! We book many hundreds of hunting and fishing trips every year on virtually every continent and all over the US.
ALL OUR SERVICES TO HUNTERS AND FISHERMEN ARE FREE!

Over 20,000 Bucket Lists Cleared & Counting!
SO. AFRICA #256    OUTSTANDING PLAINS GAME SAFARI- WE HAVE BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES!!
Our good friend and client Chris C., once again returned to Africa to hunt with  this excellent operation, located on the East Cape. With some very accurate long distance shooting, he took Cape Kudu, Gemsbok, Black Wildebeest; Zebra, Red Hartebeest, Waterbuck and more! This is his second trip here,  and plans are afoot to have his brother Dave, do it next year!

Butch,  Joan and their son Ed, have all hunted here, as have a number of our clients. This is a really unique operation - unique because it is a huge free range area- all unfenced! With their various locations in all you can hunt  1.2 million acres of free range.

You can hunt  over 1800 square miles in 3 major parcels!  Because it is so vast and wild, and because they patrol it, poaching is not a big factor. Some areas seldom if ever get hunted due to its vastness. It is common to see animals that guides  have never seen before, and that means the game has the seclusion and the  time to grow to big trophy sizes. It is a treasure, in our opinion. It is truly vast and is all privately owned. You will feel that you have earned your animals here, and you will be hunting in very varied terrain from savannahs to mountains to valley pans and in between. Some awesome scenery and magnificent vistas to enjoy; and very untouched and under-hunted.  We know, we hunted it ourselves in June of 2013.

The duration of the hunt and the selection of species will help determine the areas hunted. On an 8 day safari you typically hunt 2 areas. To logistically hunt all of their 3 areas-- you would need 10 to 12 days.

There are two ways to set up your safari. The first is ala Carte (pay a daily rate and then pay for each individual trophy) - or put together a package. Packages normally allow a bit of discount and packages can be tailored- just ask us.
TRANSPORT:  Fly to Johannesburg. Then depending on your area of hunting, fly on to either Port Elizabeth or Durban for pickup and transport to the camp you will be hunting.  There is no current charge for pickup. We assist you with that planning.

  • OPTION 1: EASTERN CAPE BASIC PACKAGE (6 animals, 7 nights)  Main camp area hunt 2X1: The Basic package takes place at the 400,000 acre Main Lodge area.  One each of Trophy Cape Kudu; Impala; Duiker; Blesbok; Springbuck; Baboon.   COST: $4900 Includes: guiding, meals, lodging and all trophy fees!!
  • OPTION 2:  PREMIUM PACKAGE (7 animals, 8 nights)              Hunt two areas - Main camp & Mountain Camp. One each of Trophy Cape Kudu; Gemsbok;  Duiker;  Bushbuck;  Impala;  Blesbok;  Baboon.  COST $7200. Again includes guiding, meals, lodging and all trophy fees
  • OPTION 3:RIVER CAMP KWAZULU/NATAL PACKAGE (6 animals, 8 nights)- a Specialized hunt for truly big Southern kudu and also Nyala, plus the other game shown in package. One each of Trophy Nyala; Southern Greater Kudu;  Bushbuck; Impala;  Common Reedbuck; Baboon. COST $9900    Includes same services as above packages do.
  • OPTION 4:  HUNT ALL THREE AREAS  (8 animals, 11 nights)        For the best animals indigenous to each of those areas. Cape Kudu;  Gemsbok; Blesbok;  Black Wildebeest; Springbuck; Nyala; Bushbuck; Warthog    COST $11,900
  • Ala Carte:  Day rate is $400 1x1.

NEBRASKA #80   TROPHY BISON ADVENTURE
This outfitter works with a nature preserve to help manage their buffalo herd. The buffalo roam unconcerned on approximately 14,000 acres, which is un-fenced except for the perimeter.

The preserve does buffalo research and has strived to allow the buffalo to thrive in a wild, natural environment as possible. They have little human contact and are quite wild. The herd has an excess of very old bulls.  So far every bull taken would qualify for SCI or better. These are 8 to 12 year old monsters. Rather then see them die of old age, the nature preserve contacted the outfitter and arranged for the outfitter to harvest some of the surplus bulls.
The outfitter provides a fully guided three-day hunt with meals and lodging included. As part of the package, the outfitter will transport the buffalo from the field to the local meat locker for processing.
Processing is at your expense. You can keep it or donate what you do not want.

These are truly huge old bulls, very wild and our clients have taken several monsters that would go very high in the SCI record books. Hunts generally take place from the last week of November thru mid January.  It can take days to sort out the right bull and do a good stalk!

PRICE: $5,250 INCLUDES LODGING, MEALS AND GUIDING and FIELD RECOVERY AND TRANSPORT TO PROCESSOR.
BOOKING FOR 2016/2017, AND 2017/218 SEASONS NOW.

You can also combo with a muzzleloader deer hunt as buff are hunted in December. Some big whitetails!.
NEW MEXICO #90    ARCHERY ELK & MUZZLOADER                         MULE DEER-  2016 DATES STILL AVAILABLE
We have worked with this outfitter for about 12 years or more and he has been operating for over 20 years in New Mexico, with a sterling record for honesty, hard work and producing elk. We have probably sent him over 100 clients. He controls leases on more than 20 different private ranches.

Elevations average from about 7,000 feet to as high as 10,000 feet resulting in a variety of cover and hunting styles, depending on which ranch you hunt and what your dates are. High country or low, he covers it all, and has some big mule deer.
Many of his guides have been with him for over 10 years, and some for over 20 years, which says a lot for the quality of the operation.

This is a class guy, a no BS sort, who will tell you how it is, and who enjoys getting clients their elk. Also, all this outfitter's New Mexico Elk Hunts INCLUDE THE LANDOWNER TAG! So you do not have to enter any draw! Just buy the hunt and the landowner tag allows you to buy your elk license over the counter.  High success, good bulls, a class operation and no draw.

This outfitter averages around 95%+ opportunity on both bow and rifle elk hunts on his fully guided  hunts; and about 80% on the ground. He only shoots 5 x 5 or better bulls and more typically 6X6's, and has been doing it for years. Dead on the ground rifle averages are typically about 80% and about half of that for bow, which is still excellent. That's about as good as it gets!

Mature 5X5 and 6X6 bulls taken here will average between about 270 to 295 with the better bulls hitting up to 320-inches B& C. Of course, a few  larger bulls are taken. Most good outfitters in New Mexico produce trophy elk in that same range. That is the reality.  His deer consistently beat the 170-175 mark- meaning truly excellent bucks.
ARCHERY ELK HUNTS
TREE STAND ARCHERY ELK HUNTS will average lower rates of success due to weather. In a dry year success is excellent, in a wet period, much less so.  Most clients will get into elk, and about 30% tag a bear.

SEMIGUIDED ARCHERY ELK HUNTS: You are guided in the mornings using spot and stalk and calling for pre-rut bulls. In the afternoons you are put in a tree stand over waterholes and other travel areas.
  PRICE: 2X1: $3650   1X1: $4150    DATES 2016: Sept 1-6; Noon to Noon

FULLY GUIDED ARCHERY ELK HUNTS:  These guided hunts are the typical spot, stalk and call hunts so many hunters love. Because of the many ranches he leases,  you can expect to see and be into multiple bulls normally.
                PRICE: 2X1 $4600  1X1 $5100   DATES 2016: Sept 15-19

IDAHO #103   PRIVATE LAND FALL BLACK BEAR SPOT                       AND STALK HUNT OR HUNT WITH HOUNDS
This outfitter offers a very unique bear hunting experience. Fall hound/spot & stalk hunt located along the Salmon River near Whitebird. During the month of September the areas that they are hunting holds thousands of wild plum trees which fill every canyon on the ranch with some of the tastiest wild fruit around. Bears come from the surroundings mountains down to the ranch in order to fatten up for the winter.
On the morning hunts they will try to catch a bears with there hounds, this makes for a very exciting hunt and tends to be very successful with the heavy bear population on the property. Or set ang glass the hill sides as the sun comes up. This hunt can be done by using any weapon you choose, rifle, bow, or even pistol.

Most evening hunts well be sitting out on the hillsides, glassing for bear walking the plum thickets. The hillside hunts usually produce shots in the 200-300 yard range so it's strictly a rifle hunt. We hillside hunt over canyons filled with the large wild plum orchards, which the bears come down to in the evenings. You will watch the bears cross the hillsides in search of the ripest fruit available, and try to get within shooting range.

You should see around 95% opportunity on this hunt with about  90% success. 60% of the bears harvested on this hunt will be color phase, running from dark chocolate brown to cinnamon, blonde, and red. Average bears are from 5'10" to 6'6", with some going 7 foot and larger. The bears also tend to be fatter this time of year, pushing them up into the 300-350 pound range, with some getting up to 400+ pounds. This hunt is 5 days and all lodging and meals are included.
PRICE $2700.
Includes 5 full days hunting, one bear, meals, lodging, and guiding.
Not included:  hunting licenses $155, bear tag $186, and state tax.

DATES Sept. 4-8, and Sept. 14-18
MEXICO #280    BIG DISCOUNT ON GIANT MULE DEER
       SAVE $1250!
Only 1 or 2 spots left for Jan 20th-27th, 2017 -7 Full Days of Hunting + Meals + Lodging.          $7000  (Normally $8250)

Book the hunt with $3500 down and pay an additional $3500 kill fee when you harvest your deer for a total of $7000 (note wounded deer count as taken game and will be charged as such).

As we all know, a good outfitter with good ranches offers you the best chance to go home with a true trophy. But of course, success on big muleys is never a sure thing, particularly since most of us are turning down solid 170 to 180" deer, and some clients will not shoot anything less then a 190" deer. So success rates drop then, naturally. And this is not a high deer number game- big desert bucks are hard to find. Still, we think the average success on premium ranches averages in the 60% to 90% range, depending on sizes wanted and hunters shooting abilities. Understand that most clients are passing on 170 class bucks.

This particular operation is hunting approximately 130,000 acres, consisting of 5 ranches. He is working on additional ranches for the 2016 year. The hunting area is surrounded by high mountains, which are great Desert sheep country and also offer many hiding places for slammer muleys and Coues. You can glass vast areas and will see far different scenery then you are used to seeing in mule deer country.

Deer numbers are very low in the desert; much of the terrain is flat and dense with cactus; and many miles must often be driven to find the "right" deer. Hunters sometimes get very frustrated with looking over the same country again and again-BUT those giants are there, and they can cover a lot of ground looking for does. A giant can appear at any time- it is critical to be ready and to shoot fast but accurately.

TRANSPORT: Your gun permit will be sent to you in advance and you will need it to board your plane. Note your gun permit is expressly  for entry into Mexico via Hermosillo (Sonora). Any deviation in your flights will likely give you serious problems! Do not go thru Mexico City first! We usually suggest to clients that they fly to Phoenix and then US Air has direct flights to Hermosillo. Be sure your first port of entry and exit is Hermosillo.

Outfitter will meet and greet you in Hermo, and usually Omar, an English teacher and family member will be your greeter and transporter. Omar is tops. Once cleared he will drive you the 3.5 hours to the remote ranch.

HUNT #37    PATAGONIA STAG & HOT BARREL DOVES
PATAGONIA! Just the name inspires visions of mountains, wonderful trout streams, Andean condors floating above rocky crags, and big red stags roaring out their challenges.

It is a rugged but beautiful area with generally open but steeply rolling terrain. Game is quite visible normally, and stalking into range can be a challenge. There are also some huge wild boars, which can be reclusive.

Hunting is done normally on foot, using vehicles into the hunt area. From there, climb or walk to a high ridge or mountain top and glass; then stalk your chosen animal. In mid-March to mid April, the stags are roaring loudly and often, and glassing and watching the hi-jinks is great sport indeed. Horses may be used sometimes also. This outfitter has two 5 star lodges totaling 85,000 acres in Patagonia.

If you're looking to hunt really big free range stag, in the mountains, with world class accommodations, this is the place.  This is one of the few places in Argentina that you can be reasonably sure of taking a gold medal stag in free range, and at an affordable price.

TRANSPORT: Hunters fly into Bariloche after first flying into Buenos Aires. One lodge is 60,000 private acres and is about 60 miles north of San Carlos de Bariloche. The second lodge  is 25,000 acres and is best accessed from San Martin de los Andes which is about 55 miles from the airport.

OTHER GAME TO HUNT: There are a variety of other species available here as well: Blackbuck, Pere David deer, Alpine Ibex (these tw species often sell out early), fallow deer, European mouflon, hybrid sheep, wild boar, wild goat, Somalian ram, Patagonian ram, Patagonian Dall, Axis deer, multihorn ram, Feral Oxen, Black Jacob's ram, Balearean Boc.

"I hunted with this outfitter on April 1,2016 and April 2, 2016.
These guys are the greatest!!!! Everyone was very courteous, kind, well informed on laws, etc.  They are very concerned about safety, and made sure everyone had a good understanding of DO'S, and DON'T'S. A great over all experience, and I have booked a hunt with them again, for Jan 2017. Bob H."

COLORADO #172    TROPHY ELK 300"+ CLASS

We have worked with this outfitter for years and he's leased an additional 4,000 acre private ranch in his back yard west of Colorado Springs in unit #58.

This ranch fits right in with the other leases he has in that area, good luck has provided him with 2 additional vouchers.

The ranch has been lightly hunted the few years, and trophy quality should be suburb. This area is known to produce bulls up to 350", but 310 to 320" is a realistic expectation. A solid 6 x 6 bull for a patient hunter who's a good shot is almost a given.  Outfitter himself saw a 350 while scouting it.
  • One hunt for muzzle loader Sept. 14-18, $5500 plus $1000 paid directly to the landowner for the voucher, 5 days guided 1X1 lodging, and meals included. Does Not include Non-resident elk licenses ($586).

You will be the only hunter on the 4,000 acre ranch during the RUT, and the first to hunt it this season (Talk about pick of the litter!!)
  • The other hunt is 4th season rifle you will be one of two hunters on the ranch Nov. 16-20, $5500 for the guided hunt plus $600 paid directly to the landowner for the voucher.

4th season will not only have the resident elk herd on the ranch, but also elk that have migrated in. High success for anyone that can shoot out to 350 yards.
