TEXAS #84 AOUDAD SHEEP - AWESOME TROPHY!
|
These hunts sell out quick every year, book now and reserve your spot!
This is an outfitter we have sent over 100 clients to, and virtually everyone seems to come home happy and with their trophy for the last 11 years!!
Butch has taken multiple elk with him on his New Mexico ranches and has also done Aoudad sheep in Texas along with Joan; and both of them killed great sheep.
Historically he is at virtually 100% harvest. We also think he offers the finest free ranging sheep hunts in North America that are priced at $4750! He has probably handled at least 100 to 150 of our clients!
- February DATES still available! Hunts are Saturday to Monday, arriving on Friday.
- This hunt can be combined with Black Buck ($2500)and or Scimitar Horned Oryx ($3250).
AOUDAD- 2x1: $4750. Three Days With Guiding, Meals & Lodging
NOTE: this is a 2X1 price- but practically speaking, it typically ends up a 1X1 hunt at the same price, as seldom do two guys book together. So you pay a 2X1 price but likely get a 1X1 hunt.

KODIAK #51 BROWN BEAR AND SITKA BLACKTAILS
|
Sold Out 2016- Now is the time to book for 2017 Season.
We have worked with this excellent outfitter for about 12 years, during which time he has consistently yielded excellent results with happy customers.
We like the fact that he personally guides nearly all of his hunts! This is strictly fair chase, and being in good physical condition is necessary for a Kodiak bear or deer hunt, as climbing up and down the many high hills, pushing through willows, up and down tree choked draws-- etc- is a frequent thing. This is true for both his bear hunts, and for his Sitka Black tail deer hunts! Bear numbers have been on a steady upswing on Kodiak for at least the last 7 to 10 years, and it appears bear numbers may be at or close to, all-time highs! He guided one of our clients in 2014 to a 10 foot plus bear on the fall hunt. He has a 2500 square foot newly improved lodge and also spike camps. He provides all in field transport, expert trophy care and is a very dedicated guy who wants his clients to succeed. If you want a great hunt at a relatively modest cost, then he deserves your most serious consideration.
BEAR HUNTS:
This is one of the world's best and most classic bear hunts - and this guy takes bears that consistently exceed 9', and he can average 9.5' in a good year!! And of course the 10 footers are there as well. It's a draw hunt for his brownie area, with around a 75 to 90% chance of drawing and with a kill rate in the 90% range every year! Bears average nine to nine and a half feet. He guided a client in 2010 to the NEW WORLD RECORD BROWN BEAR with a handgun. It squared 10'2" and was 28 14/16 SCI. The application deadline is December 31 for spring and May 31 for fall.
You must also have a contract with an outfitter, with a deposit paid down on the hunt, before you apply. If you want to do the bear hunt MAKE SURE YOU CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY SO WE CAN GET YOU INTO THE DRAW! YOU ARE VERY LIKELY TO DRAW THE FIRST YEAR YOU APPLY!! IF NOT HE WILL ROLL YOUR DEPOSIT OVER TO THE NEXT DRAWING!!
A couple of other things to keep in mind is that he will allow you on a bear hunt to add on a Sitka blacktail for $2000- a nice bonus and a new specie for many hunters. He also has some superb sea duck hunting. About 10 species of ducks are available including Harlequin, Barrow's Goldeneye, Scoters, and Old Squaw.
Sold Out On Brown Bear 2016 - Booking now for 2017 -4 Spots
Dates: April 20-29, May 1-10, (TBA)
October 25 - November 3
Price: $16,000 backpack hunt or $19,000 lodge based hunt - add Sitka Blacktail $2,000 (fall only).

NEW MEXICO #59 RIFLE ELK HUNT NEAR CHAMA
|
ONE SPOT LEFT!
OCT 15-19 $6500
We have worked with this exceptional outfitter for about 10 years, sending him dozens of clients. Over the last decade shooting opportunity on elk hunts for his clients has been virtually 100%. One client went home empty, after passing up 12 bulls including a couple over 300 B&C. The years since then have shown very similar results with 90 to 100% opportunity on good bulls. The success rate remains high regardless of which ranch you hunt.
The outfitter has demonstrated great ability and has a proven track record of high success for our clients. The operation has been featured in several of the Primos Truth series of videos, Calling in numerous bulls for the camera.
New Mexico Elk w/Rifle or Bow: Unit 4 rifle hunts usually start on or about 10/1, so bugling bulls are normally heard. Bugling can go on for much of October. The outfitter's guided hunts are five days and the price INCLUDES the landowner tag, (typically these landowner tags alone cost over $2500 to as much as $3500!). This means you avoid having to draw a tag; just book and go hunting. The hunts take place on private lands near Chama, in the heart of some of New Mexico's prime elk country. Rustic ranch-type accommodations-no tents! Two camps, one is higher and about 35 miles off the beaten path on dirt roads and is the more remote camp. No electricity, but have a generator. The other has electric. Both have shower facilities. Meals are included. You still must purchase a license, but it is over the counter using the landowner voucher.
On all the ranches he hunts you can expect above average elk, with most being 6 x 6 or good 5 x 5 bulls. You are not likely to kill anything over 320, although it can and does happen. Most are solid mature bulls that our clients are quite happy with. The moisture level here has held up better than other areas such as the Gila, meaning better forage in general. The Chama area is world famous for its elk population and its very scenic country. Almost all of the unit is privately owned, so there's no public hunting pressure.
ELK PRICE $ 6500 (including)
* LANDOWNER TAG
* GUIDING 2 x 1 ; 5 days of hunting.
* MEALS & LODGING
* Inquire for 1 x 1 hunting
NOT INCLUDED:
* LICENSE - APPROX. COST: $556.
* NEW MEXICO SALES TAXES (pay direct to outfitter upon arrival in camp- 6.8% -we cannot collect taxes).
This is an excellent outfitter, who hunts premier private ranches, who knows how to hunt trophy animals, and who provides great success for his clients. Due to many re-bookings, you should call us quickly if you have an interest in any of these hunts.

BC #151 FEW SLOTS LEFT FOR 2016 MTN GOAT
|
We have worked for many years with this outfitter, almost from his very beginnings. He is a small-volume outfitter that specializes in quality, personalized service and big-time adventure.
He takes 13-16 clients per year. He has been hunting, fishing and trapping in northern British Columbia for over 25 years and takes tremendous pride in being able to offer you a high-quality guide service.
The outfitter's success rate on big billies is extremely high, close to 80%. It would be higher if more clients were in good shape. You typically start in a valley floor at around 4,000 feet of elevation, then hike with packs to 5,000 to 7,000 feet. You may be staying on the mountain. Hunts run from mid August to early October. You will be required to carry all your own gear on your back.

We have had many clients take their goat with this fine outfitter. Goats here are normally silky-haired and average around 9 inches. The outfitter offers two types of hunts. One is from a base camp, while the other is a backpack hunt. Hunters will be required to carry a 35-pound pack; or sometimes he can arrange for a packer to carry some of your load. The outfitter will work with you in terms of deciding where and how to hunt, based on your physical ability. The outfitter hunts some pretty easy goat country and some extremely tough country and the same goes for other critters.
August 19-29 (1 spot available) (no charter)
* 1x1 Goat hunt $9500
* 2x1 Goat hunt $7900 per person
* 1x1 Goat/Caribou $10,900 - Reduced to $9500 - 2016

MEXICO #280 MULE DEER 2016 OPENINGS- $3500
|
We have now been working with this proven and honest operation for 3 years. Our clients have taken very good muley's and some very good Desert big horns as well.
He is very concerned about his clients, and works hard to put you onto deer. Every client sent has remarked on the caring attitude and efforts. Not everyone will kill a giant here, but they are here, and the addition of new ranches, some of which have not been commercially hunted for 3 or more years, will simply up the odds even further.
A brand new program for this year is the addition of a management deer program. These will be big breeder deer, that will never be classic 4X4's. We want them out of the breeding pool. They will be everything up to a 4X3, but the guide must approve of the harvest before you shoot. We estimate these deer to be in the 150 to 165 range or so- nice trophies.
This is a great way to introduce yourself, or your friend or family member to the fun of a Mexico adventure. And do it quite reasonably. If you are unsure of whether you want to hunt trophy deer here, try the management hunt this year! NO upgrades though, as we strictly limit the harvest. So if you see a giant while hunting management deer- you just get to take pictures- then book for next year!

Please ask us for the complete writeup and the pictures of the deer taken. This is the best operation we have located in 16 years of hunting Mexico.
Management Deer
Nov 25 to Dec 2, 2016 (2 spaces)
Price is $3500. Deer up to 4X3 may be taken with approval of guide. Guide will advise if it is a trophy deer or a management deer.
Trophy Deer

Here are his remaining openings for this winter:

SASKATCHEWAN DUCK & GOOSE HUNTS- 2-3 DAYS
|
The most important component of a good waterfowl hunt is spotting, and this outfitter uses an intensive program as the backbone of his success. He spends many hours spotting each day and log thousands of miles every week to ensure that you are hunting the best possible fields in the days to come.
Once the spotting is done and the best shoot has been found, your guides rely on their vast waterfowl hunting experiences to devise the best method (decoy numbers, decoy patterns, hunter placement, etc.) to pursue the birds. Combine this with a collection of thousands of top quality goose and duck decoys for different situations, an unbelievable waterfowl population, and you have what it takes to experience the best that waterfowl hunting has to offer.
Most goose hunting is done in harvested grain fields. Geese that are abundant in the area are greater and lesser Canadas, White fronts (Speckle bellies), Snows, Blues, and Ross geese. This offers clients some real variety and the chance to pursue what they prefer.
 Duck hunting usually involves an evening field shoot over decoys for big Northern Mallards with the help of spinning wing decoys. Mallards and Pintails are also commonly taken over the goose decoys during the morning goose hunt as they come out to feed. Many hunters leave here with memories of a "duck tornado" like they have never imagined. He will very seldom hunt ducks over water as this is their safe haven which is imperative to keeping them in their hunting area. The area consists of over 10,000 square miles of lakes, river valleys, marshes, potholes, and grain fields providing excellent habitat for waterfowl.
