ARGENTINA #33    RED STAG PACKAGE
Argentina is a land blessed with a huge variety of hunting and fishing opportunities. Most hunters are aware of the world-class dove shooting in Cordoba, but fewer know about the big red stags that are roaring and fighting in the plains and hills or that herds of black buck antelope imported from India that abound or big wild boar, huge water buffalo, Axis deer and many other big game animals that are available.

It's one of our favorite places to send clients to because they always come back happy. World-class hunting, awesome hospitality, reasonable pricing and virtually 100% success for every client is guaranteed. We have sent hundreds of clients to Argentina. It's one of our most popular and rewarding adventures.

The outfitter has his own hunting ground in the Province of La Pampa, which is one of the best stag areas in Argentina. The outfitter has access to approximately 33,000 acres of century-old scrublands where regal red stags reign. Free-range stags roam with wild boar and puma. In this area, animals wander wild and free in their natural environment. The hunt starts very early in the morning, before dawn. You drive a short distance to the area you will hunt, and then put your ears to the wind. You'll hear the stags as they roar and bellow. Once dawn breaks, you stalk to within sight of the animal to assess its horns to determine if it is a worthy trophy. Around noon you return to the lodge to enjoy a hearty meal, rest for a short while, and start the ritual once again in the afternoon.

The land is very arid, gentle and rolling with scrub woodland and some high grasses. It reminds one of similar areas in Africa, and the roaring stags can easily sound like a pride of lions bellowing their supremacy to the entire world. Walking is very easy and the stalks great fun. You will hear many stags every day between early March and late April. Pick a deep throaty roar and then sneak in to check him out. You get to do this multiple times every single day. Far different from a typical elk hunt where days can pass without sight of any animals.

FLORIDA #259   GATORS, OSCEOLAS & FISHING
We have been working with an outfitter who has great Osceola hunting and superb gator hunting, and whole lot more!

Let's talk gators first.  He offers two type of gator hunts both Public Water, and Private Water hunts.

His public land hunting (draw for permit) takes place over three nights. Imagine sliding along on a dark, eerie night in the Florida swamps. The lights fall on glowing eyes. Your guide starts calling and a big bull gator rushes at you quickly and explosively to protect his turf.  At point blank distance, you shoot a crossbow bolt into him and then the real fun begins! You are now connected to a very angry 300- to 700-pound gator, 8 to 12 feet in length that is not happy.

Public land Tags are applied for May 1st,.  SO BOOK AND APPLY RIGHT AWAY!! HE TAKES CARE OF THAT FOR YOU. License cost is $1050 for non-residents -and that includes two tags- You can bring a buddy and split the tag, each shooting one gator.

Add the hunt price of only $2500, and about $65 each for hunting licenses and two people will have a great time for less than $1850 each. You will provide your own lodging, and meals.

DATES FOR PUBLIC LAND HUNTS:  Hunt August 15 to Nov. 1
PRIVATE LAND HUNTS:  He also has a year around private ranch hunt where the gators are hunted  day or night. One day is generally enough for this hunt, but we tell everyone to plan on two days in case of weather. This is a Motel hunt with you paying for motel and meals. This is easy to tie in with gobblers or hogs or both.

Price up to 8 foot 11 inch   $2300.
Trophy hunt 9 to 11 foot $3400
Dinosaur hunt $POR
All of these hunts include licenses, and tags.

Any of these hunts you can add   fresh and saltwater bow fishing for stingrays, gars, shark, and much more- you have a fun place to go! Also traditional fishing options available.

This outfitter has a very high success rate on Osceola gobblers, As of last week he was 18 for 19 with the only one going home without missing several opportunities.

AK #24    ARCTIC GRIZZLY & CARIBOU FLOAT TRIP
HUNT DATES:
JULY 26-AUG 4, 2016!!
ALSO AVAILABLE FOR 2017

Arctic Barren Ground Grizzly and Caribou hunting at it's finest.  2014 float hunters were 5-6 on grizzlies and 100% on caribou, AND his  2015 hunters where 100% on both species.

This area is reputed to have the highest density of grizzlies anywhere in the Arctic. This is also Alaska's largest caribou herd. Caribou are abundant and normally not migrating at the time of this hunt!! So they are right there!  Their permitted area covers approximately 3.5 Million acres. This area is area is so remote  hunters seldom see another person. You will float past what is known as the most remote place in America. This is a true wilderness hunt in an area where you will go many days without hearing the sound of even an airplane. You will float a river surrounded by mountains at the beginning and then opening up into rolling hills about half way through the 60 mile float. Terrain is relatively good for foot travel with occasional areas of tussocks and swamp. Weather is usually good with days in the 60s and nights around 40 most commonly. Hunters can expect to see anywhere from 10 to a thousand or more caribou daily; most days sightings are  in the range of 20-200 animals. Wolves are relatively common but also a tough target to hit.

The hunt will begin with an almost two hour flight across the Brooks Range and Gates of the Arctic National Park. The fly-in day will be spent scouting, setting up camp, inflating rafts, and sighting in rifles. You will hunt nine full days. Take out will be the morning of the tenth day. Glassing animals up to ten miles distant is common due to the lack of vegetation and clear air. Camps will be simple tents with cots along the shore of the river. Meals will be simple but hearty. Due to the sheer distance involved (over 100 miles from the nearest civilization), and expense of Air Taxis, this hunt is conducted in a simple, light, and efficient manner. Hunters are asked to limit their gear to 50# including their rifle.  There is a $1500 charter flight.

This hunt is virtually identical to the Float trip, but logistics are much simpler so the price is almost halved! BC #289  MOOSE OR STONE SHEEP- HORSEBACK OR                                                      WATER HUNTS
One remaining Stone sheep for this year- a single opening for a horseback, backpack style sheep hunt.
It has sold twice, but both times the hunters needed to delay. This will be gone in a day!!! Do not wait!

August 1-14 at $23,500 which includes the $1500 air charter and your licenses etc. Only other costs are tips and the $15,000 harvest fee. Sheep have been averaging 160 or better - up to 175. Not an easy hunt- be in sheep shape!

MOOSE: this guy is in far northern BC- and the Yukon genetics do not respect borders, so these Canadian Moose are averaging around 53"- huge for Canadian moose. He is very successful on this hunt- usually around 75-80%. This is country for quality animals, not quantity! You work for your critters but they are often huge. You can combo with griz, moose or caribou.

Early  Season Mountain Horseback Hunts:
This is a typically a Moose/Grizzly combination hunt, with an option for caribou, black bear or goat.   Fly into a remote mountain lake where your horses and guide will be waiting.  Hunt from a cabin or the lake, or spike out into the mountains.  This is a fun hunt: nice weather, beautiful country, long forgiving days.  But you need to be in good shape - lots of riding, lots of hiking/climbing.
Reference Brent S. says:
"Going back with him for the fourth year in a row in 2016. I have taken 3 moose- all over 50" and into mid 50's. I've seen many more, even on my sheep hunt. He has a huge area around the  River, with part north of the River, part south. The area north of the river is classic moose country, boggy, flat etc. The area south is the sheep area, mountains but also has good moose and also griz."

Mountain horseback hunts: the frost is on the ground and the moose and caribou are in rut.  We hunt snow covered mountain basins from cabins or spike camps.  This is our most popular hunt: the game is moving, and with horses can you can cover some country.  But you've got to be prepared to ride.  This is rough country, and it's not easy to get around - and that's why the game is there.

Lake Hunts for Moose: These are typically his least 'physical' hunts.  You will hunt along / near the lake, doing as much (or as little) hiking as you want.  The idea is to call the big bulls to you.    Be prepared for a shot at a wolf or black bear.  Grizzly tags may also be available. It still helps to be in shape if you spot a big one on the mountain side!

The warm family atmosphere makes a hunt much more gratifying for me. Best of success for great hunting this year. Let's stay in touch." - Dwight Schuh -Well known author and TV show host.

RUSSIA #160   KAMCHATKA PENINSULA MOOSE HUNT
This outfitter operates on the Kamchatka Peninsula in a special area where the huge Eastern Siberian moose lives.

A mature trophy bull here will be around 1400 pounds or more and will have an average antler width of 62"-64". The largest to date here has been an amazing 75"! One of our clients took a monster 72" moose on this hunt; then the same client took another in the mid 60's which had truly non-typical horns and was quite a sight to behold.

This area for hundreds of years, had some very difficult mountain passes that prevented the migration of moose into this outfitters area. HOWEVER -in 1978 specialists of the Regional Hunting Department carried out a project transporting 45 young moose to the center of Kamchatka. Most importantly, these moose were brought in from the Chukotsky region, home to the largest moose on the planet. Those formed the genetics for the current moose population here. These moose now live in a milder climate, with less snow, and an abundance of food. The result is that the population for the past 20 years has risen to 2900 animals, including bulls with some huge horns.

Success has averaged 80% and up, but that includes a few who could not walk or whose shooting was less than perfect, or weather interfered, or who wanted a 70" beast and did not get it, or who were just not lucky.
A hunter who is reasonably fit and who can walk several miles or more, and who can shoot accurately - should normally have no problem in getting his trophy moose. But being in good shape is always important, especially if you travel this far. Moose hunts can test you if terrain is boggy or has lots of willows.

You can begin your hunt as early as September 15, when the rut starts. Kamchatka trophy moose respond quite well to calling and it is always very exciting when a monster bull responds to a call. Normally, you should take your trophy within a week.  Their later hunting period, late October and well into November demands you to be in good physical shape. After mating, the bulls are less active. It usually takes 10 days to 2 weeks to find and kill your trophy during this time period. However they may transport you on sleighs behind snowmobiles, and then a stalk on snowshoes is often done. You can cover a lot of ground this way, and our own hunter with the 72" moose hunted this way. Bulls can be found in bachelor groups. They annually take 16-17 bulls on their hundreds of thousands of acres of territory- very low pressure.

Price is $15,000 The client will pay for the hotel in Petroplavosk if needed. Outfitter has made a nice log cabin for two hunters.

The September moose hunt runs from Sept. 15 through 29, 2016. It is possible to also take brown bear and capercalie  this time frame. November hunts run Nov.17th - 27.
