Over 20,000 Bucket Lists Cleared & Counting!
QUEBEC # 105   FAMED LEAF RIVER TROPHY CARIBOU
We have worked with this very fine outfitter for nearly 14 years, and they have been in business for over 25 years. Each year their success is some of the highest in Quebec, and we put them in the top 5% of Quebec outfitters.
They have experienced and English speaking guides. There are no hidden costs either, and packages take you from Montreal to camp and back with your meat and trophies.

Also their herd, the Leaf River herd, is one of the few that continues to have populations over 300,000 animals, while others have sunk to the point that seasons are closed. So this is now the best herd in Quebec to hunt! He did quite well in 2015, although herds were widely scattered and no big mobs- typically 15 to 30 per group. It meant more work was required of the guides; and some people had to be moved- which they were- and at no cost!

HUNTS INCLUDE TWO CARIBOU- but only one trophy bull under new regulations.
OPENINGS left as of 3/10/16:
(1) Spot 1x2 for Trophy week Sept 29th to Oct 5th @ $9495
(5) spots Semi guided 1X3 week Aug 30th to Sept 5th @ $7495
(9) spots Semi guided 1X3 in week Sept 5th to Sept 11th @ $7495

The semi guided are good dates for early hunters that don't mind the velvet!! Usually good amount of caribou, weather is good, black bears are feeding...excellent hunt before school starts.
The trophy week date is for a serious hunter, could be easy or could be hard but very rewarding because of the quality of animals. The weather is cold but great for getting the big bulls moving.

CABO #12   WORLD-CLASS BILLFISHING FOR $1000!
For about $1000 to $1200 we can get you world class bill fishing, plus rooster fish, tuna and much more! We have personally been to this fishing resort multiple times!!

Here's what you can expect:
  • Beach-side accommodations at  luxurious Cabo resort
  • Three days of prime bill fishing much of which is only a 20 to 30 minute ride
  • Three full meals a day (including a nice beachfront  breakfast)
  • A huge pool with a swim up bar and hot tub at the end of your fishing day
  • A candlelight dinner on an oceanfront terrace and a nice Jacuzzi with natural mineral hot springs
  • Mediterranean-style bungalows, each with its own terrace and hammocks -all on the Sea of Cortez
  • And we do it all for around $900 to $1200 per person based on a party of four.
That's right, your boats, your meals, your rooms- at around $1000!!  If you prefer more touring and less fishing- it will be even less costly!! You can even fish inshore on 23' pangas more cheaply yet and use light tackle or fly tackle. This is an awesome deal folks, and we have been using it for years.

By way of contrast, many bill fishing boats have daily rates of $800 to $1100 or more, plus they charge $250 to $350 per day for lodging and meals.  We can get you a week for that!! This resort specially caters to fishermen and their families; but it also works well for someone wanting a laid back vacation. It is about 50 minutes from Cabo itself- quiet, peaceful and very secluded. No tourists here except for the guests!

And if fishing does not interest the family they have many other choices- swim in the pool or ocean, enjoy the hot tub, take professional instruction on Scuba and snorkeling; play tennis or volleyball, play golf at nearby world class courses, rent an ATV to cruise the beaches, go shopping in downtown Cabo and do tours and horseback riding or just plain loaf! Luxury at very modest prices, plus outstanding bill fishing!!

Virtually all the peak fishing months are April thru October, although it varies slightly with specie. Depending on the season, there are big striped marlin, sailfish, blue marlin, black marlin, roosterfish, tuna, wahoo, grouper, amberjack and a host of inshore species. We like from Mid April on. Our own personal trips have mostly been late April into early June- and we have always had exceptional results. Butch and Joan and their daughter and son-in-law took 18 striped marlin in 2 1/2 days and saw 55 to 60 marlin!

Inshore they landed 22 Roosters in half a day! However, the really big boys are caught in the fall- October and November- even December. At those fall times you can tangle with big blue marlin ranging from several hundred pounds to near 900 pounds, some black marlin, a few swords and sails, and more! Year round there are also unusually large dorado which can exceed 50 pounds and make a world class wall mount in your office or den.

YOUTH HUNTS- PLEASE GET THEM INVOLVED!
A LOT OF RESEARCH HAS CONFIRMED THAT IT IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT TO GET YOUTH INVOLVED IN HUNTING AT AN EARLY AGE.

We frequently are asked if a certain state allows young hunters to participate. As a general rule, most of the Western states allow youths who are 12 years old at the start of the season, to hunt. And depending on the state, they might be able to apply at age 11, so long as they are 12 by season time.

A couple of exceptions include Idaho, which has a new and creative system called a HUNTING PASSPORT. It allows youths as young as age 8 to hunt small game and unprotected predators. They must be 10 to hunt big game or turkeys. IT IS A ONE TIME DEAL- GOOD FOR A SINGLE YEAR ONLY. But it means you can get them out at age 10. when they apply for tags though, they can only apply for General licenses, no limited draw tags. So Idaho should go on your list of possible states, and our outfitters there will welcome young elk, deer and bear hunters ages 10 or older. They must be accompanied by a mentor who is at least age 18, and who must have a hunting license.

The Hunting Passport costs only $1.75 and can be bought over the counter. Details: https://fishandgame.idaho.gov/public/licenses/?getPage=332

New Mexico also now allows 10 year olds to hunt deer and turkey (not elk or bear), provided they are accompanied by a mentor over 18 years old.  Wyoming is 12 years old, but you can apply at 11 if you will be 12 at the time of the hunt.

Also be aware that a number of states offer special seasons and places for youth hunts, so there is good opportunity out there. We are always happy to help!

RED STAG HUNTING PACKAGE

MEXICO #265   YOUR CHANCE FOR A GOULDS TURKEY
This outfitter's clients are his best advertising. They report seeing Coues bucks and Goulds turkeys daily.

Here are a couple of quotes:
"Would do this hunt again in a heartbeat"- CF.
"Will cherish this hunt for a lifetime" - JW.
"Excellent food, lodging, guides and equipment. Felt very safe. All papers in order -easy border crossing"- TP.

The outfitter will meet you at the airport in El Paso, spend that night there, and the outfitter, for an extra $150 per hunter, will transport you round trip. Hunt Nation prefers that method for our clients, and it gives you a chance to get acquainted with your outfitter during the ride.

The outfitter will secure all permits for crossing the border and he will be with you all the time - both into and out of Mexico and he will assist with US CUSTOMS. Of course you will need a passport and a Customs form 4457 for your firearm, (with this short notice, the outfitter will give you use of his top quality rifles if requested).  This is also one of the best places in Mexico to get that Gould's Turkey.

MANITOBA #226 HOSTED FLY-IN CARIBOU ADVENTURE
This friendly and hard working outfitters is normally at or very close to 100%, and this is one of the very few caribou hunts that still allow two trophy bulls!!

The outfitter has 2 camps separated by about 60 miles.  It sits 30 miles north of the 60th parallel, which is the longitudinal line that separates Manitoba from Nunavut.  This amazing hunting camp essentially puts you in the best possible location to hunt huge Trophy Caribou Bulls that are making their way south to their wintering grounds. You basically have the first opportunity at hunting these Caribou before any other outfitter or hunter has further south.

Lodging: The buildings are Weatherhaven structures, which are the Cadillac of all tent structures nd are also the first choice of the U.S. military, mining companies, and commercial wilderness operators world-wide. They are fully insulated and have thermostatically controlled propane heat for your comfort. This is about as good as it gets in this part of the country.

Guides will take their hunters by boat from one area to the next in search of trophy bulls. From time to time, your guide will beach the boat and take a short hike onto higher ground to glass miles of tundra for caribou. The rolling tundra is not hard to negotiate, and combined with the use of boats, allows us to tailor a hunt to an individual's preferences or physical ability.

All Caribou Hunts Are 7 Days In Length (5 Full Days Of Hunting)
Price Per Hunt - $8995.00 (Includes All Charter Flights)
 2 Tags Available Per Hunter
Hosted Hunt Dates- August 29th- September 4th, 2016.

Caribou License's - 480.00 Per License, Includes All Licenses And Trophy Fees Along With Export Permits.

After you have successfully harvested your caribou, the outfitter transports everything to their taxidermist for finishing or shipping to your home.
DON'T MISS THIS ONE, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
