ALBERTA #69    SPECIAL DEAL- RIFLE WHITETAILS
NICE DISCOUNT ON ALBERTA RIFLE WHITETAIL HUNTS!!

This outfitter hunts a part of Alberta known as one of the best areas in North America for massive, white-tailed bucks. The two largest  whitetails ever taken  in Canada (279 6/8 and 285) came from this area. The area they hunt is mainly farmland, but it is the large tracts of forest that gives the bucks escape cover where they can live long enough to reach trophy size.

6 Day Hunt - Normally - $6995 - BMOA Client Price - $5500
9 Day Hunt - Normally - $7500 -  BMOA Client Price - $6850

Most of the whitetail hunting is done from stands, (ladder stands, box blinds and even pop ups if its bitter cold) --but they also still hunt, spot and stalk and push bush. This outfitter has averaged, over the last 3 years almost 93% success, with an average whitetail deer size of over 140 B&C. Almost every year they take deer in the 170 to 190 B&C class, and often others are seen but are missed, or the hunter is not ready and gets no shot.  The Outfitter has regulars who have been hunting with him for 10 to 15 years, and they like to hold out for 160 class or better  whitetails - and succeed quite often, but of course not always. While no one can promise you a deer, it is highly probable that so long  as you are patient and let those 140's go and you shoot straight when the time comes, that you will go home with a 150 class, and possibly much larger.

The major reason their whitetail deer don't average even higher, is that very few hunters can let a solid mid 140 class walk by. They would do even better if only more hunters could resist those heavy mid-140 class bucks, or could tell the difference between a mid 145 and a 160! These are big bucks and this is one of our truly excellent outfitters.

OCT AND NOV DATES NOW AVAILABLE - Call for specific dates

NM #90  ELK, MULIES OR COMBO- TOP OUTFITTER
Hunt New Mexico Elk with one of our Top Outfitters.      NO DRAW FOR TAG!

This outfitter stays booked up with repeat clients so don't delay if you would like a quality elk hunt with a Top Notch Outfitter.
One of the best known elk areas in New Mexico is the famed Unit 4, a northern unit having virtually no public land, and an area carefully managed by ranchers and outfitters to provide premium elk and mule deer hunting.

Just buy the hunt and the landowner tag allows you to buy your elk license over the counter. That license is approximately $554 plus a $65 hunt license. High success, good bulls, a class operation and no draw.

We have worked with this outfitter for about 12 years, have probably sent him over 100 clients. He controls leases on more than 20 different private ranches. Elevations average from about 7,000 feet to as high as 10,000 feet resulting in a variety of cover and hunting styles, depending on which ranch you hunt and what your dates are. High country or low, he covers it all, and has some big mule deer too, plus antelope and bear!

Mature 5X5 and 6X6 bulls taken here will average between about 270 to 295 with the better bulls hitting up to 320-inches B&C. His deer consistently beat the 170-175 mark- meaning truly excellent bucks. Lots of color phase bears, and some big antelope round out his offerings.

TREE STAND ARCHERY ELK HUNTS:  will average lower rates of success due to weather. In a dry year success is excellent, in a wet period, much less so.  To kill with a bow, you should be able to shoot consistently to 40 yards as a minimum and 50 and up is better. Black Bear can be taken on this hunt just add $500 trophy fee if bear is harvested.
PRICE : $3100 - DATES 2016: Sept 1-6; Noon to Noon

SEMIGUIDED ARCHERY ELK HUNTS: We really like the pricing here! Normally good opportunity. Deer are free to be harvested- apply for the license by March; 100% draw. Bear tags must be bought 48 hours in advance and Bear are a $500 harvest fee.
PRICE: 2X1:  $3650;  1X1: $4150- DATES 2016:  Sept 1-6

FULLY GUIDED ARCHERY ELK HUNTS:  These hunts are the typical spot, stalk and call hunts that so many hunters love. Prime bugle time! You can expect to see and be into multiple bulls normally. Stay in ranch type lodging with ranch type meals. Deer are free- apply by March- draw is close to 100% for bow. Bear are a $500 kill fee. Licenses are not included.
PRICE: 2X1 $4600;  1X1 $5100   DATES 2016:  Sept 10-15

FULLY GUIDED RIFLE HUNTS:  November is the migration season and he has the right ranches to intercept the elk. These hunts are more weather dependent than any other month; BUT over the past six seasons November has had the highest percentage of success, and some of the largest Bulls, too.
NOVEMBER DATES:  6-11, 15-19, 27-Dec 2 -2016    2x1 - $6,100.00, 1x1 - $6,600
DECEMBER DATES: 6-10 , 14-18, 17-21st, 27-31st - 2016 2x1 - $6,100.00 1x1 - $6,600

BC #67     MOUNTAIN CARIBOU ON HORSEBACK
Everyone who is collecting the various Caribou species, needs a Mountain Caribou, which generally  is considered to be the largest of the Caribou.

Many herds of caribou are doing poorly in various areas, but the Mountain Caribou seems to be doing fine- perhaps because they do not exist in vast herds and are more solitary in nature. They exist in more mountainous country and are a gorgeous animal to see in the wild or on your wall. Additionally, on this BC horseback hunt you can take other species on a trophy fee basis, although wolf is free.

This is a well established outfitter who we have worked with almost 16 years. You will stay in either Cabins or tents, (probably cabins) and this is a hunt of modest exertion. Horses help a bunch, but still, this is not a good hunt for anyone not in at least reasonable shape- call it a 6 on a 10 scale.

Mountain Caribou-10 days

1X1       $13,300

7 days   $11,300

2X1        $12,600

Includes trophy, lodging, guiding and meals. Not included are GST, Licenses and tags, charter flights.

Other game on Trophy fee basis: Grizzly $15,000; Elk, Goat or Black bear $5950; Moose  $9450.

NM #84    FILL YOUR FREEZER- COW ELK HUNT
As I set here today in Cheyenne WY, watching the snow blowing around, and stacking up to over a foot, I smell the elk stew cooking on the stove, and I'm thankful for the stock of elk in my freezer. (Hope she makes beer bread to go with it)  You too can fill your freezer for next year, and do it at very modest price.

This New Mexico outfitter has a pocket full of cow elk vouchers, and really needs to cull some elk off this ranch. You will be hunting about two hours West of Albuquerque near Bluewater. A huge area of 135,000 acres all private land that cover three game management units.

Last year 100% opportunity, with most filling in a day or two. Anyone that can shot 300 yards should go home with a truck full of tender elk.

The Units are 7, 9 and 10, and the ranch spreads into all three areas. These three day hunts include voucher, 2x1 guiding, and lodging. You provide your own food, and do your own cooking and clean up in the fully equipped kitchen.
Cow elk licenses of $354, and New Mexico State sales tax extra.

Approximate dates are 12/4 -12/6, and 12/11- 12/13.
$1150 PER PERSON, Lodging, and guiding included.

A 50% deposit is all that's required to confirm your booking. For more details or if you have questions, please call or email us.

S. AFRICA #204    LION HUNTS & BUFF PACKAGES
AWESOME DEAL!!

Now that the Cecil the lion business has largely been de-bunked, and the hysteria has settled, the true victims are some very good people in the Safari Business in South Africa. We know- we work with many of them all the time, sending many dozens of clients there for both plains game and estate lions. You can appreciate the fact that when a PH has purchased and pre-paid for a number of lion hunts- he stands to take a beating- a serious one at that. So the inevitable result is they are forced to try and mitigate the financial pain by drastically cutting pricing TO THE POINT THEY LOSE MONEY.

Since many of us are hopeful that in the next few years this situation on non-importability of estate lions will resolve itself, now is the time to get a good male lion under you belt.

You likely will never again see this kind of pricing for a male lion Just a few months ago we sold these same lion hunts at prices from $19,000 to $25,000 depending on male sizes. Now they are 66% less!!!  Another good feature is that they will shoot a quality video of your hunt (for a fee) and you can keep that plus your photos to take home. A video is a great way to share your adventure.

Each area has a resident pride on it that was brought in wild, about 3 years ago from Kruger Park and they live free on these areas. This is the difference that this operation offers versus other Lion Hunting areas in SA who often just release a cat each time a hunter comes. If the census indicates the prides will not produce enough cats to shoot for each season, then and only then will they release some cats. If they do that, it is only done  twice a year, meaning that the released cats roam freely up to 12 months before being hunted. You look for tracks, and on finding a large enough print, you get out and track the lions on foot. Locating them at 30 to 100 yards, you try to close in and find a clear lane through the bush for a shot, which can often be very close indeed.

Lions are 5 to 8 years of age. You should be very sure of your shooting, as cats are likely to be very close and they can move incredibly fast. Some clients will prefer iron sights, or a 1 power scope.

ATTENTION:  ALL ALASKAN BOW HUNTERS
For the remainder of 2016, Bowhunters in hunts restricted to archery only must carry their IBEP or equivalent department approved certification card on them while archery hunting in the field, and must show their card to peace officers and department employees upon request.
Beginning July 1, 2016, all big game hunters using archery will be required to have successfully completed a department approved certification course. We believe you must have the card with you at all times.
