AUSTRALIA #155- GIANT WATER BUFFALO & MORE
|
SAVE! Everyone is fascinated by the country of Australia. Its kangaroos, dingos, camels and other odd ball critters, its vast spaces, the remoteness and its culture, all seem to pull at us. With seasons reversed to ours, it is time right now to get serious about hunting this wonderful continent and experiencing what it offers. Best months are May through August, with July being excellent.
The variety of game to be seen and hunted on this remote 350,000 acre Station is top notch. Superb free range Water Buffalo and Banteng and wild cattle, fishing, and a great selection of deer and other species including : Sambar Deer, Javan Rusa Deer, North Island Or Molacan Rusa Deer, Axis Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, Scrub Bulls, Trophy Wild Boar , Non Trophy Feral Pigs, And Dingo.
Of course it is the huge and cantankerous Water Buffalo that is the big draw. Here is a quote from a recent hunter who took Buffalo on this great place:
"Lots of quality animals. Excellent buffalo. I saw at least 7 buffalo larger than the 115 and 106 I shot. He takes 20 hunters per year so not much pressure on 350,000 acres."
It is very important to note that a legal Banteng hunt is hard to find, and this is one that is, in fact, legal. There are only a couple of legal places where you can shoot banteng! This operation has both free range and estate hunts for them. It is also important to note that this operation also offers you a chance to take cull buffalo at a very reasonable rate, so you can easily due a multi-buffalo hunt without braking the bank!
This Australian Outfitter has almost 30 years' experience and has put dozens of Buffalo bulls into the SCI record book. He has access to huge hunting areas including both the Aboriginal owned Arnheim Land and his own private lands.
Huge areas and distance are covered in a day's hunting and you can expect to see 20-30 Trophy Bulls per day. Hunting is by 4WD to locate trophies, than you stalk and hunt on foot..
PRICING: Please request the full writeup from us. The huge variety of animals and the many hunt package options is best understood by viewing the writeup.

MOZAMBIQUE- "REAL" AFRICA HUNTING EXPERIENCE
|
This is one of about 5 highly qualified operators that we work with in Moz. Butch hunted here for buff and plains game a few years ago, leaving just ahead of Craig Boddington's arrival.
Butch noted: "I expected to see lots of buff, and was delighted to see huge herds of them, sometimes numbering into the hundreds. But - I was absolutely unprepared to see such a huge amount of plains game including quantities of sable and nyala. I was also enchanted with the experience of boating on the giant Zambezi River and seeing hippos, crocs and lots of very alert natives carefully watching the water as they bathed!"
This place is the real Africa in all its primitive glory! Because of the private hiring of some very aggressive poaching patrols, the game in this concession is awesomely abundant. Butch said this is one of the best safaris he has ever been on. Each year it seems to have more game due to the anti-poaching efforts. BMOA clients have been saying the same thing. We have sent nearly two dozen clients to this operation over the last few years, most call it their best safari ever; the real deal. Africa the way it was. This is a grand safari at a modest price in country with an awesome amount of game of every specie.
Mozambique is situated in East Africa. This outfitter hunts in two concessions in the easternmost portions of the country, and he even borders the National Buffalo reserve, which has thousands of buff that cannot be hunted-but they can and do enter his Coutada's (concessions) and can be found in vast numbers. There are millions of acres under his control, much of which has not yet been hunted! It has widely diverse habitat, from gigantic swamps along the Zambezi River to jungle forest to open grasslands and pans.
If you want to hunt the "real" Africa, please ask us for the writeup on this incredible operation. Taking a buffalo here is a foregone conclusion, it just depends on how many you want to turn down. Add to that herds of sable, nyala and much more, and you have a world class operation with superb PH's as well.
Just request the writeup fo Mozambique Hunt #157. If you want some other Mozambique operations to consider, ask us for Hunt numbers 279, and 261, and 282.

INDUSTRY NEWS- SOUTH AFRICA LEOPARD HUNTING
We here at Butch Manasse Outdoor Adventures want our clients to know that at the present time, there will be no Leopard permits issued for hunting them in South Africa. This may change, as PHASA (Professional Hunters Association of So. Africa) has filed a legal action to overturn this situation. South Africa's Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) has simply gone ahead and withheld the quota so no hunting licenses can be issued. They relied on so called scientific evidence furnished by a wild cat loving group, and did so without any input from interested parties such as PHASA or other scientific proof. More to follow as events move ahead and we will keep you apprised. If you have a South African leopard hunt booked-know that it likely will not happen! We are highly skeptical of the so called "evidence" and are hoping for everyone's sake that this gets overturned quickly.
