HUNT #148  NEWFOUNDLAND MOOSE/CARIBOU
"My hunt with was top notch.  The guides were outstanding...and the camp was equally as good with excellent meals each and every day.  I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in a Woodland Caribou or moose hunt in Newfoundland".  Mike F

This is an outstanding, reliable, highly successful and honest outfitter in Newfoundland. Unfortunately we often hear about a number of rip-off artists in this wonderful province. Some of them are almost legendary. You must be cautious.

First of all realize that quality animals in this province MAINLY come from areas unreachable by residents. Moose and caribou need time to develop trophy antlers. This means sticking to fly-in operations. The second criteria is low hunter numbers in camp to insure a quality hunt and plenty of trophy animals. The third criteria is picking an outfitter who has his own planes, camps and guides. There are many sad stories of inadequately equipped outfitters so this is important.

Newfoundland has a Woodland Caribou herd which is still healthy. Its' Moose population is extremely high, but big bulls are rare unless you fly in. This outfitter has several areas and lake regions to hunt, having just acquired the area of another of our favorite outfitters to add to his existing areas. All his areas are fly-in access ONLY. Pricing includes the flights into camp! Also includes your license and flying out your game!

"A pure and pristine fair chase hunt. The beauty and tranquility of this fly-in hunt is unsurpassed anywhere in the world!  Hard working knowledgeable guides, tremendous food, and great camaraderie all wrapped into this great hunt! Wouldn't think of choosing any other outfitter in Newfoundland! Will be hunting with them for many years to come!" Bart T. H

The outfitter has a total of three lodges and he takes a maximum of four hunters at any one lodge. This means relatively low hunting pressure and your chances for success are extremely high. The outfitter's clients average 100% on caribou and well over 80-85% on moose. The terrain is a mix of wooded ridges, river valleys and marshy areas at low altitude. Most moose will be in the 34- to 45-inch range and larger.

WY/CO  MULE DEER, ANTELOPE & ELK ADVENTURES
We believe this is likely the largest contiguous ranch in the entire West.  For the trophy mulie, elk or pronghorn hunter, or the avid trout fisher, this place is heaven in Wyoming. And the prices are quite reasonable for what they offer you! Recently 16 hunters harvested 13 Trophy Bucks between 160 to 192. Averages are in the 160 to 175 range, but obviously in such a huge area there are always big ones.
"This was an excellent hunt. My
guide was awesome at finding game for me and explaining whether this was a good animal to take or if he thought I could do better. He also listened to how I wanted to hunt and hike a lot to see the country while I was there  and did so.  I could not have asked for a better trip or hunt than I had - it was in only one word AWESOME."
We like their very reasonable pricing, especially his the combo prices for BOTH a mule deer and an antelope. You are free to shoot the largest animal you see, no restrictions!  AND importantly, he is normally 100% draw on tags.
This outfitter hunts most of western Wyoming, from the Flaming Gorge areas and the Red Desert and northward up thru Worland and beyond. The outfitter and his guides have access to some of the premier elk, antelope and deer territory in Wyoming. Every year their clients kill antelope over 80 inches, elk in the 370-inch class, muleys pushing 180 inches and big whitetails over 150 inches, too! Throw in Big Horn sheep, Shiras moose and...
The one word that describes the
outfitter's guiding operation is professional. Their guides are hard-working and very knowledgeable and the accommodations and hospitality are outstanding. The outfitter has access to more than 200,000 acres of private lands and National Forest Service leases that produce exceptional trophies year after year.

TROPHY AUODAD-  4 OR 5 DAY HUNTS- $4000-5000
If you have always wanted a gorgeous sheep mount to add to your game room, we can offer you a fantastic Texas free range Aoudad adventure, for much less money then you may have ever thought possible.

The aoudad is a superb game animal, exceptionally challenging when free-ranging and difficult even where fenced.  It is a very strong animal, with a mane that runs from under the chin down the shoulder and legs where it forms chaps. Brownish to blonde color, it weighs about 250 to 350 pounds and may stand well over 3 feet high at the shoulder. They are also a tough animal, so use enough rifle- something in the .270 range and above.

A trophy aoudad is typically 27" to 32"; and almost all the sheep these guys take are in that range, and some larger!  They make spectacular mounts with their long flowing chaps and chest hair and thick curling horns.

These outfitters have added 8 of the top 20 Aoudad in the book last time we looked!

The best times to hunt is mid January to end of February! So when elk, deer and all else is over, the lordly aoudad sheep is available.

3 to 5 day hunts, range from
$4000 to $5000

Give us a call, and we can discuss options and match your with the outfitter that best meets your needs.
IDAHO #243   7-DAY HIGH SUCCESS WHITETAIL HUNT
This hunt offers a chance to chase whitetails in a beautiful area in scenic Northwest Idaho, near Kooskia in the Clearwater area. You will be hunting 1200 acres of prime Idaho deer habitat plus several thousand acres of bordering BLM.. Quick side-note, the nearby Clearwater River is one of Butch's secret steelhead spots (sea-run rainbows  averaging 8 to 18 pounds).

The lodge is truly unique- far beyond what most whitetail hunters expect! The 4500 sq. ft. lodge is located high up in the pines and is very secluded, making for a spectacular setting. You will enjoy family style meals prepared by their chef and beverages for your enjoyment are available. Even a TV, VCR and a pool table are there for your off hours. The outfitter has worked with us for many years, operating both in Idaho for hunting and in Alaska for guided charter fishing trips. BC/AK  BLACK BEAR, GRIZZLY & MOOSE HUNTS
BC Shiras Moose, Mule Deer, Big Horn Sheep and Bear - #72
South-eastern British Columbia has long been a prime destination for outdoors folks due to its great scenery and it wide variety of animal species. But we also know of many outright crooks in this area- guys who make great promises and fail to deliver! Not so for this long term outfitter of ours. In this area you find bighorns, mulies, Shiras moose, goat, various bears, elk and whitetails, plus mountain lion and bobcat!!

Alaska #140 Blackbear  Hunts From Boat or Cabin
Experience some of the finest hunting available on Pri
nce of Wales Island (Unit 2) and Misty Fjords area (Unit 1) - for Trophy Coastal Black Bears. This is a spot and stalk hunt which takes place by boat in the bays and inlets of Southeast Alaska. Butch and Joan have been to POW many times, with Joan taking a 7'2" bear- good but not super for this island! Bears are plentiful and the scenery is spectacular.

Alaska Caribou and Grizzly Hunt - #177
This outfit for the last several years has been outfitting in a very remote area in farthest north Alaska, and have been having very good success. In addition to world-class caribou hunting this outfitter will offer you the chance to also hunt for the Arctic Barren Ground Grizzly! These grizzly hunts will be 11 hunts in both spring and fall. They do these grizzly hunts right in the heart of the caribou's calving grounds where the grizzlies are highly concentrated.

High Success Alberta Spring/Fall Blackbear Hunt - #69
This is an outstanding outfitter in Alberta who not only produces
good bears, but lots of bears. Over the last eight or 10 years, the outfitter has averaged between 1.6 to 1.8 bears per hunter. That includes bow hunters and gun hunters. In layman's terms, that means nearly everyone has a chance at taking two bears! The outfitter hunts in the famed Peace River area of Alberta.

IOWA #60     GIANT WHITETAILS EVERY YEAR
This outfitter takes only a few guys every year- and he is expensive- but he takes some 200 class whitetails!! Importantly, he spends a ton of money on supplemental protein feeding from Jan to Sept.

This outfitter knows that Iowa is one of the top destinations in North America for trophy whitetail deer hunting. His hunts have produced a number of Boone & Crockett Whitetail Deer. He hunts SW Iowa and he also hunts northwestern Missouri. And for 2016 he has added Kansas! Missouri has a hunt with an over the counter tag. Missouri is very good, but Iowa produces the better deer-usually! But this bordering area of Missouri is no slouch. And its virtually next door- you use the same facilities. A two state hunt may be possible. And Kansas is not terribly difficult to draw either and is a record breaker every year.

One of the largest reasons for this outfitters success is due to the careful game management of the properties and the size restrictions of deer (140" minimum in Iowa) he allows to be taken each season on our properties.  He usually likes to keep groups around 6  for bow and 8 to 10 for gun. Getting an Iowa tag is a process, which he will assist you with. Getting this tag is the first step to the hunt.
He puts many hours of hard work into food plots, stand placement, clearing shooting lanes and scouting each year. This hunt is customized for the hunter  looking to take a buck scoring 140 or larger. In the last few years their largest deer scored 216 B&C with many bucks seen that would have scored over 170 B&C. In the last 6 or 7 years, they have taken 5 bucks that have grossed over 200 Boone & Crockett.

Iowa Whitetail bow hunts are run during the heart of the whitetail rut. We prefer to hunt groups pre-rut and post-rut. During Pre-rut there is a lot of activity and the bucks respond well to rattling and grunting.
