BELIZE #64 BONEFISH, TARPON, PERMIT & MORE
|
Belize, for a number of years, has been considered one of the premier destinations for anglers seeking bonefish and permit, with a very healthy dose of tarpon. There are a number of fishing lodges and operations, but some areas have very few bones, so it pays to be careful.
For example, in many areas in the southern part of the region, bonefish become scarce while permit become more plentiful. Other areas concentrate on tarpon. We like this operation for its variety- superb flats fishing for bones; very good permit, plenty of tarpon from juveniles to giants, barracuda and much more. This operation has been in place for nearly 30 years, and a plethora of big name salt water fishers have hung their hats here regularly. Enjoy spectacular tropical evenings, hours of sight fishing for bones, permit and tarpon, take a dip in the pool, then imbibe some refreshments on the deck. Although most of the fishermen prefer to fly fish, spin fishermen are also welcome, and fly casting tackle and casting lessons happily given! Many people have caught their fly rod fish here. And for non-fishers, there is diving, beaches and much more.
Butch and Joan are fishing here next year, from June 4-8, 2016. There are a few remaining openings for anyone who wishes to join them, or choose you own date this year or next! Fishing here is very consistent, and there really are no bad dates, although the peak season is generally late Spring and Summer time. You may very well get shots at permit and tarpon, and even barracuda, every day you fish. A week of fishing will show you typically hundreds of fish. Indeed a big school of tailing bones can have 100 fish! And this is a good place for the beginner fly fisherman- they are happy to teach you, and there are enough targets that even a rank amateur will enjoy success here. There are literally several hundred square miles of flats to explore!
Four nights / three days fishing: $2,570. taxes of $203.05.
Seven nights / 6 days of fishing: $4,280. taxes of $336.85.

IOWA #230 RIFLE HUNT WHITETAILS THIS YEAR
| The application process starts in early May and ends in early in June. 5 day hunts are priced at $4250.00 and include meals lodging guide service and field care of your game. It is no secret that Iowa is a Mecca for world-class whitetail hunting. It's considered among the two or three top states in the country for record-book whitetails. Iowa is known for growing giant, big-bodied 300-pound bucks sporting impressive headgear. The rolling farmlands interspersed with dense thickets, hedgerows, swales, cattails swamps and escape cover provides plenty of places for wily bucks to hide and grow old. This outfitter has been guiding for over 15 years and has been an outfitter for the past six years. He has 7,500 acres to hunt in southwest Iowa's Zone 4 and prides himself on keeping hunter numbers low and hunting pressure to a minimum to increase the chances of harvesting mature bucks. The outfitter has a beautiful spacious updated lodge with all the comforts of home.
According to the outfitter the break down is as follows:
Hunters stand about a 70% or better chance of drawing the 1st Shot Gun season Dec 5th -9th If you don't draw the first year you should draw the second year.
2nd Shot Gun Dec-12th - 20th - 80% or better chance the first year or should draw the 2nd year for sure.
Late Muzzle loader - Dec- 21st - Jan 10th is near 100% Just apply and you will likely draw the tag.
He went on to state that their biggest deer killed during the gun season last year was a 170 class buck. He had 1 gun hunter last year miss a 170 class buck twice and another gun hunter wound and not recover a mid 160 class buck. Most hunters should have an opportunity at 150 class deer. The colder weather later in the season really gets the big deer moving.
The outfitter states most hunters assume they can not possibly draw a tag in Iowa for 3 to 4 years. So he is all for getting the word out that it is highly possible to draw in Iowa your first year. Call Now for dates and availability.

IDAHO #218 ARCHERY ELK IN 2015 |
This outfitter does EXCLUSIVELY ARCHERY ELK on his Idaho unit 76 hunt.
His client reports on these bow elk hunts have been well beyond our expectations!! The efforts by this outfit provided smiles to the many happy clients who had a great experience! This south-east Idaho outfit does a great job - and at a dirt cheap price! And he busts his butt to produce!
Price for 2015 is $2950 for a fully guided horseback elk hunt with meals, and 2X1 guiding!! Outfitter supplies wall tents, cots, heat, food, horses and guiding (2 hunters per guide).
This is a great chance to hunt some wild country with bow and to encounter a slobbering, swaggering rut-crazed bull! And you can do it for less then half of most comparable hunts on public lands.

May through June is the "Trophy King" season. Thirty to ninety pound Kings feed in these waters. You will troll for Kings using down- riggers and herring bait but don't be surprised if you land a big Halibut, Ling Cod, Black Bass or Grey Cod while trolling.
July is one of the best months to catch a variety of fish; King Salmon, Halibut, Ling Cod, Gray Cod, Yellow Eye, Black Bass and Silver Salmon. Along with some of the best weather in July, you will also have stunning wildlife viewing opportunities.

COLORADO # 141 RFW ELK ADVENTURES | I got a call from one of my Colorado Ranching For Wildlife operations Northwest of Steamboat Springs (Guaranteed Tags) reminding me of some late season openings he has. Here are his words- "I'm telling you these later hunts are something it's nothing to see 1000 elk in a day, the minute it start snowing every elk in this basin, coming off every private ranches in the area and migrates through or stages up on this property (107,000 acres)".
Colorado CPW claims there is 16,000 elk in this area, if that is true then 10,000 come through this place on the way to the wintering grounds. It's the only way out! Either subdivisions or Public ground force these elk right down the center of this place. Over the last 17 years, this outfitter has amassed a remarkable harvest percentage of 94.8% on branch-antlered bull elk.
At one point, the outfitter could claim to have taken 307 bull elk for his last 320 clients! That's an impressive record! 5 day hunts from his comfortable lodge, meals and 2X1 guiding included $6500
Dates Oct 23-27, Oct 31-Nov 4, Nov 7-11 Nov 15-19
