EMERGENCY ALERT TO ALL HUNTERS LEAVING THE U.S. WITH FIREARMS!
BMOA always tries to be in the forefront of new developments in the hunting world. BMOA, thru its association with Safari Club, has received information about NEW changes in the requirements for hunters who wish to take firearms and ammunition with them to hunt outside the United States. A great deal of confusion still remains, but we want to alert you to what is going on, BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR ANY TRIPS THIS YEAR OR NEXT! While purportedly being done to ease "paperwork" accumulations on all exports, we gun owners suspect much more is at play here!! At least that is BMOA's opinion! Adopted in 2012.but not enforced until now, you MUST know this information.
We expect more details will come to the front, but here is a brief overview. BMOA will attempt to advise all our clients as info becomes firmer. BUT- RIGHT NOW WE BELIEVE THESE CHANGES APPLY! Before traveling, you are advised to consult directly with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Phone numbers are below. We have checked their web site - you should do the same. FIRST: Go to https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/list/kw/guns. Then drop down about five paragraphs to the section that reads: Traveling outside of the U.S. - Temporarily taking a firearm abroad. Not a lot of help you will see! We have heard the new changes will go into affect in April, and then another  blurb said May 1. No one seems too sure.

Dept. of State Help Desk is 202-663-2838       The phone number for the Dept. of Commerce, Exporter Services is 202-482-4811

So- you now must go on line and follow the NEW rules and procedures. Previously you SIMPLY took your gun and ammo to the nearest Custom (CBP) office and obtained a Form 4457- simple but you had to do it well in advance of travel.  A form 4457  is normally used to prove that the traveler owned the property before going abroad.  And most foreign countries insist on seeing it. WE THINK YOU SHOULD STILL HAVE A 4457 FORM WITH YOU, IN ADDITION TO THE NEW ITN NUMBER.

Q: What is now required of a hunter who wishes to export/bring his or her firearms/ammunition to hunt outside the U.S.?
A. If a hunter wishes to temporarily export three or fewer non-automatic firearms from the United States and 1000 or fewer cartridges -- at the time of his/her departure from the U.S., he or she must :
1. declare the articles to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer,
2. present the Internal Transaction Number (ITN) obtained by the submission of the Electronic Export Information into the Automated Export System (AES)
3. and present the firearms and/or cartridges for a visual inspection to the CBP officer at the port of departure from the United States.
WYOMING #26  MULIES, ELK, ANTELOPE & TURKEY

THIS IS A HUNT FOR EVERYONE!!

This is an outfitter we have personally known and hunted with, and one we unhesitatingly recommend. Dedicated, honest, hardworking and he produces.

One hunter this fall, simply sat in camp in his chair and saw 19 bears one day! They walked by at breakfast and at dinner! Needless to say he took a good one, and one they estimated at 9 feet got away. A reasonable expectation is between 7 and 8 feet. Nice thing is, due to flooding, the river valley is like walking on a sidewalk- flat and easy! The bears key on the chum salmon that run the river in droves. 1X1 guiding, meals and lodging and includes your charter flight! Tag is over the counter, pick it up in Kotzebue and outfitter assists you.The one word that describes the outfitter's guiding operation is professional.
Their guides are hard-working and very knowledgeable; the accommodations and hospitality are outstanding. The outfitter has access to more than 200,000 acres of private lands and National Forest Service leases that produce exceptional trophies year after year. The operation has thrived on repeat customers and referrals and we are fortunate to be able to work with this fine outfit.

WYOMING #123  MULE DEER HUNTS- NOVEMBER!
Book your adventure anytime between now and Spring time and enjoy these savings! We consider this one of our best values for mule deer. A lot of bang for your buck here.

This outfitter offers fully guided, 2 x 1, 5-day hunts near Cody WY that are a real bargain. The classic Western main lodge and a series of rustic cabins are comfortable, meticulously clean and complete with baths. The nearest big town is historic Cody, WY.
You will hunt migrating mule deer in the late pre-rut. Like any migration hunt, this one is weather dependent, but Mother Nature is usually obliging, and snow and weather make the deer move to lower elevations. With a little luck and perseverance, hunters are able to intercept some of these magnificent bucks. A couple local hunters in the area took several muley bucks in excess of 200-inches and one 240-inch giant. Now no-one can guarantee you giant deer, but the chance is there, and normally you can expect 100% opportunity on mature bucks in the 160-inch and up range. You can kill a monster here, but conservative estimates are that you should be able to harvest a mature buck in the 160- to 175-inch class at a minimum. Snow helps and by the time these hunts start in early November, you can generally count on snow.
