HUNT # 215 MARAL STAG - SIBERIA - BAIKAL LAKE
| Maral Hunt from September 20 to October 5! Only dates available. 9 days total with /7 hunting days including Maral Stag trophy fee $8900 NEW DISCOUNTED PRICE FOR SEPTEMBER 2016 ONLY!! $5900 Must receive deposit by 3/31/15 Includes one Maral stag. Butch hunted Maral Stag twice in Outer Mongolia about 15 years ago- back when the hunts were $3000. Currently the Mongolian Maral hunts are running around $15,000! So this hunt in the Lak Baikal area of Russia is an incredible bargain. Our US elk moved here across the Asian land bridge, so except for minor color differences they are the same animals. Butch believes the Maral tend to be more massive, with bigger bodies. Maral hunt, the great Siberian deer, is done during the roaring season, usually from September 20th to 30th. The hunt is done by walking and stalking or on horseback, closing in on the roaring Maral (bugling), or by calling it by special calls made out of tree bark. The local game scouts are specialized in this type of call, and they usually do it early in the morning or in the evening. Normally one to three animals can be heard during every days hunt and during a full one week hunt there is the possibility of finding a very good animal. During the Maral hunt, lodging will be provided in hunting houses without services, or in the shelters of professional hunters.
During the hunting season rains and snow are frequent and be sure to bring water resistant clothing, and, as in all difficult Russian hunts, a sleeping bag is necessary, especially for hunt in Siberia. Also bring tall rubber boots i, since there is the necessity to pass through frequent small water courses and wet grounds. Rates include: Hunting organization with local guides, English speaking interpreter for every group, full board in the hunting house without services, transportation by 4x4 vehicle or on horseback during the hunt, hunting permits, first treatment of the trophies, trophy fee of a Maral deer of a Siberian subspecies called Izjubr. Rates do not include: Air fares, transportation from/to the airport in Irkutsk to the camp (350 € per group), visa, weapon import permits, hotels before and after the hunt, tips, drinks and gratuities. |

One of our long time Alaska/Canada outfitters has secured a huge tract of mostly farm ground in Western Manitoba. We fully expect most hunters to have an opportunity at deer in the 140 to 150 range but please note that this huge area produces 170-180 deer on a fairly regular basis so anything is possible. The outfitter knows of 2 deer just last year that that were taken from the same general vicinity and went over 180 BC.

HUNT #29- STILL TIME LEFT FOR MOUNTAIN LIONS
|
We were just informed of a few last minute discounted openings for the Month of March from our Utah/Arizona outfitter.
The outfitter states that he is treeing cats on a daily basis and that March is shaping up to be an excellent month as weather conditions look to be favorable.
This is one of the best houndsmen we know of. He is known far and wide as one of the best breeders and best cat hound trainers in the West, and he has been doing it for nearly 30 years!
Butch recently was talking with one of his competitors who again confirmed this outfitters superior expertise with dogs. And after all, lion hunts are totally dependent on the quality of the dogs! Some of our clients from France who have hound hunted for leopards, jaguars, lions and more, called him the best they have ever seen! His dogs do excellently well on bare ground, given any reasonable set of conditions. In snow they are of course superb. His dogs do equally well on bobcat and black bear. He hunts some gorgeous and scenic areas in southern Utah and Northern Arizona. He has experienced guides and his horses are normally well mannered and well trained. He is a registered quarter horse breeder, so you can understand that this guy is really into his animals; and his expertise with them shows.
Special pricing for March hunts - 5 day 2x1 hunts @ $4,850 ea and 1x1 hunts at $5,250 ea

Dates available are May 4-9 and May 18-23 2015. Max 2 hunters per week limited availability.
In Alberta, the outfitter has several free ranging herds of Trophy Bison, of which only one area that is hunted. It is a fact that the wild bison have always existed in this range and man has never pushed them out of the area. We know of nowhere else in North America where you can hunt native, free ranging bison in their natural habitat.
Fortunately, these bison are not a pure wood bison. This allows us to export your cape and horns to the United States. Although not pure wood strain, a bull may weigh up to 2600 lbs. and cow 1500 lbs.
Generally, May or early June, expect temperatures ranging from (32 F - 70F). When you get to Fort Smith in the North West Territories. A guide will meet you and escort you to the camp. Most of the traveling from that point will be done on a quad, or agro. It is common to travel up to 80 km (50 miles) in a day.
The very elusive timber wolf inhabits the same vast Boreal forest region as the Bison. They can be hunted with fair success at any time during the hunt.
Your days will be filled with excitement tracking down the legendary buffalo. The hunt can be long and difficult but for the avid Trophy hunter it is the thrill of a lifetime. The rewards for the dedicated hunter can be great however. Studies have shown that many of the bulls in this area are positively ancient, and trophy potential very high. As well, there is the satisfaction of having hunted one of the rarest and most awesome trophies, a true free ranging bison on its northern range!
The special price is $7,500 for a 6 day hunt.
The regular price is $10,000 plus GST tax
- Hunting license is $100. Hunters may take a second Wild Bison for an additional $3,000 US (to be paid before 2nd Bison hunt starts) plus 5% tax.
- Wolf tag is $50 wolves may be hunted with an unfilled bison tag, when bison has been harvested it is a $4,000 hunt fee to continue to wolf hunt.

HUNT # 2 EASIER NORTHERN BC MOUNTAIN GOAT
|
If you thought a Mountain Goat hunt might be out of your league then this hunt is for you.
It is rare that goats will live in this kind of a low land country except for here in this part of Northern BC. This makes it ideal for seniors or clients who may have some limiting health issues.
The government recently conducted a helicopter survey and found the outfitters area to have over 600 head of goats. Permits are limited to 5 per year. The outfitter states that most of his hunts are done after 4 or 5 days but hunts are 10 days long.
This area has great genetics that produce goats with lots of length and mass. This outfitter regularly wins awards for the largest goat in Northern BC as well as multiple top 5 placers each year.

This is a very unique goat hunt that is at lower elevations and would be considered a 5 out of 10 on the difficulty scale.
Hunts are 10 days 1x1 @ $12,000 this includes your meals, lodging and guide service.
Hunters fly into and out of Ft St. John BC. Hunts dates run from Aug 15th - Nov 15th the outfitter recommends the month of October as the prime time for this hunt.
