Greetings!

With the start of our 4th week of classes things have started to calm down. I appreciate the patience and flexibility our families have shown these first few weeks as dancers were adding and dropping classes.  The teachers are so excited about their classes and it seems our dancers have now settled into their schedules.

We are looking forward to a great year!
Days off School--

We realize there are a lot of days off of school during October and November, but the studio is still OPEN.  We have regular scheduled classes during all in-service days, conference days, Veteran's Day, etc.  You can always visit our website and click on studio news to find our closure dates.
Halloween Week--

Every year our dancers ask us if they can wear their costumes to class and the answer is YES.  Dancers can wear their Halloween Costumes to class the week of October 26th -30th.

We ask that dancers still wear appropriate dance shoes and correct undergarments.  We will not allow any inappropriate or scary costumes, dangerous props, face make up, hats or wigs or costumes that interfere with dancers participating in class.  Costumes with glitter will not be allowed in the studios because it's too hard to clean off our floors.  If you wonder if your costume is appropriate, feel free to ask your teacher.  Remember this is suppose to be fun, BUT it cannot be a distraction the dancers or teachers.
SPOTLIGHT DANCER OF THE MONTH--

This month we shine the spotlight on Morgen Dunne!

Don't have a Halloween Costume yet??

Starting Monday, October 13th we will have a large rack and boxes full of BRAND NEW costumes from previous recitals just waiting to find a home.  These costumes are extras from re-orders, returns or cancellations.  There are some great costumes andsome great pieces that can be made into an original! In previous years we have had dancers make themselves into giant cupcakes out of tutus, rock stars, dancing diva's and even a couple prom date disasters from some Ballet dresses.

Come take a look...all costumes are only $20.00-$25.00.  We also have lots of accessories...gloves, hair clips, different colored booty shorts, leggings, and more...all accessories are $5.00-$10.00.

Monthly Tuition--

Please remember that tuition is due by the 1st of each month.  A $20.00 Late Fee will be added to dancer's accounts if tuition is not received by the 10th of the month.  We send out monthly statements and we ask that you double check your statements each month.  If there is an error in your dancer's class schedule or account information, please let us know. Any questions regarding your account need to be directed to Phyllis at info@elitedancestudio.org.
Recital and Ballet Performance Costumes--

I know it seems like our spring recital is so far away, but a lot of planning goes into our big shows and it starts with teachers selecting costumes.  I will be sending out our Costume Letter and Fees later this month.

Costume fees will be due by November 20th
Teachers will be measuring the dancers after Thanksgiving Break and all costumes will be ordered by December 18th.
All dancers participating in the June recital are required to purchase a class costume.  Detailed information will be in the Costume Letter.

If you have any  questions, please don't hesitate to email us at info@elitedancestudio.org or call us at the studio 503-645-8105.

Cheers,
Sara
