Dear Library Fans,
We hope you enjoy this new way of keeping you informed about all the great programs and events that are happening at the library. The last few weeks have been busy, as we wind down all our summer activities and move into fall schedules. The work on the new landscaping and parking lot project continues. All should be in place for a late October, 2013 dedication. A big thank you to the Friends of the Library for sponsoring this newsletter! If you have any comments, contact Freyja Sanger by replying to this email. Carol Gray, Director

The 2013 Annual Art Auction will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 7:00 pm (preview party at 6:00 pm). The silent auction will take place in the Adolph Matz Gallery from August 26, to give visitors an opportunity to see the paintings and bid early in the bid book. Works of art will be displayed in the Adolph Matz Gallery, located in the main lobby of the library, and can be viewed by all that enter the library each day. Great interest in generated through the month as the bid book fills up. The final vocal auction is always an exciting event. In addition to funding art books, art DVDs, and a select number of museum passes, this year's proceeds will support free art workshops for adults and children as well as an art movie series in the Fall and Winter.

Unclaimed packets will be returned after this date. Happy Reading!
Weekly story times will return September 5. Playtime, stories, songs, bubbles, movement, and crafts. Lots of fun and a great way to introduce your child to other children his/her own age. All are welcome! No registration required.
