The weather outside has been frightful - and you probably feel like you're stuck in Frozen - but we have some news to warm you up! But first we want to make sure you're doing okay. Orange County wants you to report any damage from the storm and we want to know if there's any way the Chamber can help. We'll be sure to keep you informed and we hope you'll tell us how your business is faring in this economy overall.

Report Storm Damage to Orange County

From Orange County's press release: "Orange County Emergency Services is asking residents to report significant damage caused by the snow. Residents can call the Orange County Emergency Services hotline at 919.245.6111 or post damage reports and images to Facebook or Twitter using the hash tag #OCDamage...Orange County Emergency Services is monitoring the weather and continues to coordinate preparedness efforts with each of our community stakeholders."

A Preview of Coming Attractions

March's Economic Development & Public Policy Committee meeting will have some early updates from the county.  Join us  8 a.m., Thursday, March 5 to hear from County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Commission Chair Earl McKee, and Tax Administrator Dwane Brinson discuss the upcoming revaluation and  potential bond referendum. EDPP Committee meetings are held 8 a.m., the first Thursday of the month and are open to any Chamber member.

New Spaces in the Heart of Town and at The Edge

We had a great turnout for an info session on Carolina Square, the new name for the redevelopment of University Square. Miss the session?
