The latest issue of the ETFO PRS Matters Bulletin, College of Early Childhood Educators Continuous Professional Learning Program (CPL), provides important information for DECE members about the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) Continuous Professional Learning Program (CPL).

ETFO-AQ: Winter Registration & Seeking Online Instructors

Registration for Winter AQ Courses opens Monday, October 31st, 2016 and runs until January 4th, 2017. The Winter Session runs from January 11th to March 31st, 2017. Courses do not run during March Break. Subsidies are still available through OTF for math, technology and kindergarten courses. Members are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.

ETFO-AQ is seeking Instructors for online Additional Qualification courses for  summer 2017. Applicants should have extensive experience in online course instruction or online professional learning and 2 specialists or equivalent in the course subjects.

Professional Learning Opportunities
  • ...and still we rise 2017: Mark your calendars for ETFO's annual ...and still we rise conference. This women's leadership conference will take place from Wednesday, February 22 (evening) to Friday, February 24, 2017. The focus of this year's conference is women's leadership in the union.
    Further event details and online registration will be available in November at events.etfo.org.
     
  • The Visions Program 2017 is a leadership program for women in their first five years of ETFO membership. The program highlights union renewal and will focus on building participants' knowledge of ETFO, the broader labour movement, and opportunities for activism. Register online at events.etfo.org beginning October 25th.
     
  • Next Steps Racialized Women's Workshop: This two-day program is designed to support racialized women members with resum� writing and interview skills preparation. The program has been developed to build confidence and provides opportunities to build these essential skills in a proactive space. Register online by November 10th.

ETFO is seeking ten members from across member groups (Teachers, Occasional Teachers, Designated Early Childhood Educators) to participate in a year-long project focused on developing a student mental health resource.  Please see the Events Management System for application details. The application deadline is October 28 at 4 p.m.
