Our Union Our Values Our Profession: ETFO's 2014 Collective Bargaining Communications Campaign

ETFO collective agreements expired on August 31, 2014, and the process to create and renew those collective agreements - called collective bargaining - is well under way.

ETFO's overall goal for collective bargaining in 2014 is to achieve collective agreements that reflect the value and professionalism of our hard-working and highly-skilled members.

An important part of ETFO's preparation for collective bargaining is creating a communications strategy that will keep each and every member informed and engaged throughout the bargaining process. This month's steward mailing contains copies of a pamphlet that introduces the strategy, which has been developed around three important themes: Our Union Our Values Our Profession.

The pamphlet highlights the importance of collective bargaining to ETFO members' professional and personal lives. Member engagement is critical to achieving success in ETFO's current round of collective bargaining, so please distribute a copy of the Our Union Our Values Our Profession pamphlet to ETFO members on staff.

For more information, or to obtain additional copies of the pamphlet, please contact Lisa Mastrobuono, 416-962-3836, extension 2512, [email protected], at the provincial office.
