HELP CELEBRATE WORLD TEACHERS' DAY 2014
This Sunday October 5th is World Teachers' Day (WTD). In anticipation of this special day, ETFO sent a special Building Better Schools Every Day poster to all schools in the September Stewards' Mailing. Also, our popular Teachers Change Lives commercials will be on the air in communities across the province until October 5th. A media release and an ad in the Toronto Star's WTD special issue will also appear later this week.

You are invited to join the celebration by participating in ETFO's World Teachers' Day Social Media Campaign. Starting today, ETFO members are invited to log into their Facebook and/or Twitter accounts to answer the question "What's amazing about being a teacher?" Feel free to post your response to the ETFO Facebook page. The following hash tags can be used in your updates: #TeachersRock #WorldTeachersDay #ETFO.

Let's create a social media buzz on how ETFO members are building better schools every day!

WHAT'S ON THE HEALTH & SAFETY BULLETIN BOARD?

Red pin To protect workers' rights and their health and safety in the workplace employers are required by law to post certain documents. The workplace Health and Safety bulletin board is the ideal location for posting these documents. A Ministry of Labour inspector may check this bulletin board to make sure your employer has posted the required documents.

The ETFO Health and Safety website has an article describing all of the documents that you should find on your Heath & Safety bulletin board, with downloads for posters, documents, templates and other information.

If you believe there may be something missing on the Health and Safety bulletin board in your workplace, let your principal know.
