ETFO President Sam Hammond was interviewed by a number of media outlets today, including Metro Morning on CBC Radio.

In his interview with Metro Morning host Matt Galloway, Hammond corrected misinformation from Education Minister Laurel Broten about ETFO's advice to members on progress reports:

"We have not advised our members to put the 'bare minimum' on report cards and we have certainly not said to our members that they should just fill in the name of a student on report cards, as the Minister has said."

President Hammond said ETFO was advising members to do what the Ministry of Education recommended in its own policy document, Growing Success.

"I really find it disturbing and offensive that the Minister continues to provide that misinformation to parents," he said.
