A Matter of Faith
Tomorrow, Friday, October 17, at the Hollywood Theatre, a new movie called A Matter of Faith will begin showing. Show times are at 12:00, 2:20, 4:40, 7:45 and 10:05 PM. This is a movie that explores the clashing worldviews of creationism and evolution, and the importance of believers having a firm grounding in the biblical explanations of creation. The church office (352-1442) has some free tickets available on a first come first served basis. We encourage you to make an effort to attend the movie and show your support to the Hollywood Theatre for bringing quality movies to the Amarillo area.

PrimeTimer Horse Play October 24
Yee Haw!! We are headed to Mesquite Ranch on Friday, October 24, for a chicken fried steak dinner, lots of laughter, and a little horse play. This event is for PrimeTimers (age 55 to 102), and you will have the opportunity to either sit and observe some crazy fun or participate in the action. (No one will be riding a horse, but you might make friends with a few if you choose to do so.) Wear comfortable clothes, close-toed shoes, and if you are allergic to horses, hay or pollen, take your allergy medicine ahead of time! Mesquite Ranch is owned by WACC members Becky and Frank Foster. It is located off of North Soncy at 7300 Reeves.

You may ride church vans or take your own vehicle, so be sure to let us know your plan. Church vans will leave WACC at 5:15 PM, or if it is closer for you, another group of vans will leave from the NE corner of Home Depot parking lot on Soncy at 5:30 PM. It’s only a 10-minute drive from Home Depot to the ranch. We should have you back to your vehicles by 8:30 PM. Sign-up sheets and flyers are available at the information desk, or you may email Mindy Briggs or call the church office at 352-1442. For those who are concerned about walking on uneven ground, we will provide transportation right up to the door of the barn!!

Young Adult Bible Study
WACC has a new Bible study for young adults. The group meets at the Bible Chair of the Southwest (512 SW 22nd, on the AC campus) on Monday nights from 8:30-9:30 PM for fellowship, study, and coffee. Contact Travis Vaclavik or Jon Kohler for more information.

Join Us on Monday Evening for Bowling!
Everyone (including kids and youth accompanied by a parent) is invited to join in the fun on Monday evenings at Western Bowl, at 6:45 PM. This is not a league, it is just bowling for the fun of it whenever you have a free Monday evening and want to have some fun with friends and church family in a smoke-free environment. Games are $1.50 and so are shoes. The only catch is that you have to contact Billy Kersh or Cathy Ashford by 5:00 PM on Monday to let them know if you will be bowling that evening.
