Can You Spare One Hour, One Saturday Evening a Month?
There is an immediate need of a teacher in the preschool/kindergarten class during the 5:00 PM worship service on Saturday evenings. This position may be filled on a one-week rotation per month basis. If God is pulling your heart in this direction, please contact Billy Kersh.

Team-Up to Teach/Assist a Summer Children’s Bible Class
Time is growing short and we still need teachers and assistants for our children’s Bible classes this summer! Get a partner and do some team teaching, by alternating your weeks to teach. You and your partner will learn, and have some fun along with your students. Please pray about your commitment and contact Billy Kersh as soon as possible.

Run With A Mission
Run With A Mission is almost here! WACC is hosting this 5k race and 1-mile walk on June 1 at Austin Park to help raise funds for Barry and Shelly Wilson's international adoption and Arrow Child and Family Ministries, an emergency child-care and foster agency located in Amarillo. We will need lots of volunteers and also help spreading the word throughout the community! You can learn more, register for the race, sign up to volunteer, and even donate to the cause online at wacconline.org/run.

No Saturday Evening Worship Service May 25
Due to the Memorial Day weekend, there will be no contemporary worship service the evening of May 25.

Outreach Ministries

Diaper and Formula Drive for CareNet Pregnancy Centers
Each year in the spring WACC helps out CareNet, one of our favorite ministries, by collecting diapers and formula. There are barrels located in the church hallways for your donations. Any kind of diapers are fine; CareNet asks that formula be Enfamil brand or the generic equivalent. It’s all expensive! Your generosity can help provide the means for young parents to be able to choose LIFE for their babies. Thank you!!

The Family Service Center's Festival of Flavors
A big thank you to everyone who made the Festival of Flavors a great success! A little over $1800 was raised, which will help to feed over 200 families in the future. If you have any suggestions on how to make the next Festival of Flavors even better, please feel free to contact Darnel Wassinger. The next festival will be the early part of 2014.

FROG Squad
This ministry is an after school Bible study program from 3:00 – 4:30 PM each Tuesday afternoon for children that attend Lamar Elementary. The “Squad” is growing exponentially and is in desperate need of more high school and adult volunteers, especially men! The children are excited about hearing the Word of God and attendance runs between 80 and 100 children each week. Please contact Rachel Stone at 806-341-8599 if you can help.

SNAK PAK for Kids
WACC participates in the city-wide SNAK PAK for Kids program which provides food to needy children so they will have something to eat over the weekends and holidays when they don’t get a meal at school. SNAK PAK, however, is unable to get peanut butter right now, so we are asking WACC to help us fill that void for the 50+ Lamar Elementary kids on our list. All donations of 18 oz jars of peanut butter can be put in the “old nursery” which is located in room 203. Your help in this project is immensely appreciated!!
