Boone County Schools emphasis on Family Engagement makes KENTUCKY TEACHER magazine!

Research shows your child is more successful in school when you (the parent or guardian) show an interest in your child at their school.

The Boone County School District uses an innovative approach of focusing on building home-school partnerships with any parent or guardian interested.  The best part is the school can work around a working parents' schedule.

WELCOME BACK!
A brand new school year is well underway. Students have now been to school for at least a week.  Schedules are starting to solidify and changes are becoming more manageable for students and parents.

While rain greeted students on their first day, students didn't seem to let it bother them.  It was still a great start to a great new school year!

The Boone County School District is leading the way in the state as a District of Innovation school system.  The Kentucky Board of Education selected our district as a  District of Innovation for our Imagineering Academy-Early College, School of Design, PBL Academy, and the Home Builders Program.  Boone County Schools will create project/problem/passion based learning experiences for students to apply core knowledge, concepts and 21st century skills.

Boone County teachers and staff are focused on every student receiving a World Class Education experience.  We believe in Student Empowerment where your student will learn leadership skills/career skills with a focus on hope/well being and engagement. We are proud to offer Resource Optimization where virtual and blended course offerings, as well as flexible schedules will be in place to meet the students' diverse needs.

Erpenbeck Elementary Mustang Round Up-Champions of learning

Erpenbeck held its first school assembly the first week of school. This assembly was focused on having a a shared vision among students and staff.  The theme was centered around the Olympics and Going for the Gold.  Principal Jennifer Watson says "we are champions of our own learning," and she wants to make sure all students understand the mission and what that means to each individual student. She says that will be a year round goal for everything they do, every challenge they face and a reminder at every assembly and school event.

Going for the Gold!

We are champions of our own learning!
