NKY MakerSpace World Maker & Inventor Expo

More than 1,500 students, parents educators, business leaders and community members attended the Saturday event at Boone County High School.  The World Maker and Inventor Expo celebrated making, inventing, problem solving and innovation with robotics, 3D printing, drones/aerospace projects, launchers, coding, Arduino, and engineering. Projects and programs were featured from more than 70 schools, companies and organizations in the greater Cincinnati area.  Students voted on which school they wanted to receive the grand prize of a MONOPRICE 3D Printer.  Conner Middle School received the top vote. Congratulations to the students at Conner Middle! Below are pictures from the Expo.

There were so many things to excite and mesmerize students at the World Maker and Inventor Expo.  Below a simple fan is elevated and turned on its side with a cylinder attached to wood allows students to experiment with floating objects. Other stations at the Expo included a laptop flight simulator, a glider fashioned out of PVC tubing and battling robots.
