CONGRATULATIONS!
PTA 2015-2016 REFLECTIONS CELEBRATION

The PTA Reflections Celebration is a powerful tool for encouraging students to explore and be involved in the arts.  Together, school leaders and families offer positive reinforcement for participation in the National PTA Reflections program.  Parents and community leaders are welcomed into the schools to discover the rich culture and artistic skills presented by student artists.  An art exhibit with live student performances and an awards ceremony  hosted by Ryle High School last night showcased the importance of arts education in our schools.  Boone County School District students took home 56 of 91 total awards. The highest award is Creative Interpretation and Ryle received three of those and Longbranch received two. Below are the winners from Boone County Schools pictured with Boone County School District Superintendent Dr. Randy Poe.

Cooper High School
Students from Cooper High School competed at each grade level to donate gifts to charity for the holidays.  The reward for the grade that collects the most was a holiday jam session with the Cooper High Choir and Principal Mr. Wilson.  Cooper's Senior class won the privilege.  You can see a video of one of the songs on the district website.  That's boone.kyschools.us

Calling all Boone County School Alumni

We are looking for former graduates of Boone County Schools to tell us their stories of professional career success after graduating from this district. If you are one of those students or if you have a son or daughter with post college graduate successes that should be celebrated, please contact us.  You will need to email a j.peg-only picture of your student as well as information on their success story to bcbe@boone.kyschools.us. We will post it in the Alumni Spotlight section of this school district newsletter.
