Top Administrators at BCS receive Top Honors!
Boone County Schools Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent were honored over the weekend as exceptional leaders in education.
At the Kentucky School Boards Association 79th annual conference Saturday Superintendent Dr. Randy Poe received the prestigious 2015 F.L. Dupree Outstanding Superintendent Award for his accomplishments in the areas of leadership, effective education programs, school finances, student, staff and community relations. "This award is well deserved, says Kathy Reutman Executive Director of Student and Community Services. Dr. Poe is an exceptional leader. He is well liked and admired by students, staff and fellow administrators here in the Boone County School District. He works tirelessly to achieve our mission for every graduate to be college, career and life ready."

Deputy Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer Karen Cheser was honored as a runner-up for the 2015 National Woman Administrator Award from the School Superintendents Association. Sponsored by Farmers Insurance and AASA, the award is designed to recognize exceptional leadership of active, front-line female administrators who are This recognition came at the National Conference on Education in San Diego Friday. Reutman says of Cheser, "She is a selfless, visionary leader. Her commitment to the students, staff, families and community of Boone County Schools is unrivaled."
