Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky announced!

 

 

Karen Cheser

 

 

Congratulations to Boone County Schools Deputy Superintendent Karen Cheser. She has been tapped as one of

the 2015 Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky.

This annual award honors Northern Kentucky residents who exemplify notable achievement, outstanding service in their profession or to the Northern Kentucky community, and the qualities of personal integrity, perseverance and leadership.  Boone County Schools Superintendent Dr. Randy Poe says, "Karen Cheser epitomizes all the above.  Karen is a dedicated educational professional who works tirelessly for all children in Boone County and Northern Kentucky.  Karen leads activities through the Northern Kentucky Education Council to help prepare all students to be career, college and life ready.  Karen is very deserving of this award."

Stephanie Stambaugh

Kentucky School Counselor of the Year   2014-2015!

 

 

Congratulations to Longbranch Elementary School Counselor Stephanie Stambaugh who was a 2015 semi-finalist for the American School Counselor Association - National School counselor of the Year. 

 

Ms. Stambaugh traveled to Washington D.C. to be a part of the ASCA black-tie awards  ceremony at Washington's historic Union Station.  She spent a day at the White House in the company of First Lady Michelle Obama.  Longbranch Principal Erika Bowles says, "Were incredibly proud of Stephanie as one of many true leaders in our district, in school counseling and proud Longhorns.  She is a driving force in our school with student emotional health and wellness, closing the achievement gap for students, and college and career readiness prep and planning."
