ATTENTION PARENTS: School Starts Next Week!

School starts for the 2014-15 school year next Wednesday August 13th.   Is your child ready?  Are their records up to date?  Do they have their proper immunizations? Are you new to the district or have you moved within the district?  Go to www.boone.kyschools.us and click on the "parents" section at the top of the page to get all the information you need such as enrollment forms, bus routes, the district calendar and anything else you might need. Please be mindful of children and school buses as school will be back in session starting next week.  Traffic patterns will change and there will be more traffic to manuever through in the mornings and afternoons.  Children will be walking our sidewalks and crossing our streets.  Please keep an eye out for them, watch your speed and drive safely.  Thank you.

  First Church of Christ is partnering with the Boone County Alliance
  during the Boone County Fair (August 4-9) to raise money for
  Heroin prevention in local schools. You can purchase three balls
  for one dollar and dunk some of your favorite people in the
  community to raise money to fight this epidemic in Northern
  Kentucky. The goal is to raise $3,000 to supply educational
  materials in the schools concerning this crisis. A big thank you to
  the following participants,some who have already been dunked
  (Principal Detwiler, Superintendent Poe, Principal Bowles) and to
  those who are still on the schedule to be dunked (Board member

You  and your family are invited to a Neighborhood Night Out  Tuesday August 26th from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at Florence Elementary.   This event is sponsored by the City of Florence and the Boone County School District.
