Teens Driving Smart
Do you have a teen in the house who is about to get their driver's license? What about a teen that could use some more experience behind the wheel. Bridgestone is offering a free driving clinic that will simulate real life situations and help eliminate distracted driving. Each session combines classroom instruction with hands-on driving excercises. It will be held two weeks from now at Turfway Park August 2nd and 3rd. Click here to learn more about the program. Register here for the Turfway Park event. |
Back to school supplies are well stocked now in the stores. When you shop for your child's supplies would you consider picking up the same items for another child who will not have the supplies they need for school? It can serve as a good teaching moment between you and your children. They will learn that not everyone has everything they need and from your example, the importance of helping others. You can bring those supplies to our all day Stuff The Bus event Tuesday July 29th? Click here for more information on Stuff The Bus. Chick-Fil-A has promised a financial donation to the school district who brings in the most. The competition is between Boone and Kenton County School Districts. |
ATTENTION PARENTS: School Starts August 13th.
We are just a little over a month away from school starting for the 2014-15 school year. Is your child ready? Are their records up to date? Do they have their proper immunizations? Are you new to the district or have you moved within the district? Go to www.boone.kyschools.us and click on the "parents" section at the top of the page to get all the information you need such as enrollment forms, bus routes, the district calendar and anything else you might need. |
