ELEMENTARY NEWS
Just before Spring Break we showed you how Stephens Elementary celebrated Artsapalooza week. Here are a few more pictures you didn't see from Thursday and Friday of Artsapalooza. Thursday, day 4, children were treated to acclaimed storyteller, Diane Macklin who uses instruments to accompany her 'lyrical voice' and 'dancing hands' as she tells a story. As she told her mezmerizing folktales she also taught the children how to be a part of the story using their hands and voices.

This is the third annual Artsapalooza at Stephens. This year students are keeping journals of what they've experienced all week. In the travel journal packet students are asked to respond and reflect on what they've seen with questions like, "If you were going to design an AP what would be its function and purpose?" That was just one of the discussion questions students reflected upon after seeing a graphic designer on the second day of Artsapalooza.
