TELL Kentucky - Teaching, Empowering, Leading and Learning
Congratulations to the Conner Middle School Staff! The staff at Conner Middle were recently notified that they were selected by the state as one of the top 49 honorable mentions as a result of the TELL survey (which looks at working conditions in the school) and our students' performance on state assessment. As a result, members of the state department visited Conner Middle School to conduct interviews with students and staff and look at the school first-hand. Well....we are excited to announce that Conner Middle School was selected for the Winner's Circle...top 10 schools in the state!!! A team of staff members have now been invited to the Continuous Improvement Summit in Louisville to discuss the great things happening at Conner Middle School! |
Mann Elementary is a National Blue Ribbon School
The National Blue Ribbon Schools award honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools where students perform at very high levels or where significant improvements are being made in students' levels of achievement. The program recognizes schools in one of two performance categories. The first category is "Exemplary High Performing," in which schools are recognized among their state's highest performing schools, as measured by state assessments or nationally-normed tests. The second category is "Exemplary Improving," in which schools that have at least 40 percent of their students from disadvantaged backgrounds demonstrate the most progress in improving student achievement levels as measured by state assessments or nationally-normed tests. |
Grandparents celebrated at Florence Elementary School
Grandparents Day was celebrated on Sunday, September 8th, but Florence Elementary honored our grandparents for the entire week starting with the kindergartners and ending on Friday with the 4th and 5th graders. Over the course of the week 317 grandparents walked, rolled, and shuffled into Florence Elementary to join their pride and joy for cookies and bingo!
We are thankful for the grandparents who keep the families together offering support, care giving, wisdom, experience, advice, and, best of all, unconditional love!
