Kentucky Personal Finance Challenge
The Kentucky Personal Finance Challenge is designed to provide an online competition in Personal Finance for teachers and students throughout the nation. The Challenge is an exciting, competitive, and rewarding way for teachers to encourage students to learn personal finance concepts, including income, money management, spending, credit, saving and investing, they will use in the real-world throughout their lives.

Congratulations to R.A. Jones Middle School (Angel Sarian, Teacher) who finished in the top 10 for the middle school challenge and Ryle High School (Bryan Bentley, Teacher) who won first overall in the high school challenge.  The team from Ryle will advance to the national Personal Finance Challenge to represent Kentucky!

A better understanding of the concepts learned in the challenge helps students make sound money decisions and increases the likelihood that they'll meet their financial goals as adults. Research has shown that student competitions increase student participation, promote attendance, and help students achieve higher grades and standardized test scores.

There were 342 teams of 1,188 students from 45 school participating in the Personal Finance Challenges this year.  Congratulations to Boone County Schools two winning teams!
