April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize we can each play a part in promoting the social and emotional well-being of children and families in communities.

On Friday, April 5th, 2013, local officials, families, law enforcement, businesses and community agencies will join together to proclaim April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Northern Kentucky.  The ceremony is at Tom Gill Chevrolet (7830 Commerce Drive, Florence, KY), begins at noon and is free to the public attend.

Following the ceremony, guests are invited to tie blue ribbons along the white picket fence facing the interstate to serve as a visual reminder of child victims of abuse and neglect.

Today, the Yealey Elementary student council kicked off Child Abuse Prevention Month by placing 100 "Pinwheels of Prevention" on school grounds to make a stand as a school and community against Child Abuse.
