Teachers of the Year!

Three teachers from Boone County Schools were honored today by the Florence Rotary Club as 2013 Teachers of the Year.  Teachers are selected for this honor based upon their ability to:
  
- Inspire students to learn

- Have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues

- Play an active and useful role in the community, as well as, in the school

- Be poised, articulate, and possesses the energy to withstand a taxing schedule

- Exemplify the Rotary "Service above Self" standard in his or her professional and community environment

 

Congratulations to Akrivi Watson from North Pointe Elementary, Kristi Heist from Camp Ernst Middle School and Christopher Bolanos from Longbranch Elementary School pictured below with Superintendent Randy Poe.

Collins Elementary Students Learn about Systems of the Body

Health and Art Departments (Mrs. Kelly and Ms. Muse) at Collins Elementary joined together to help students learn about the systems of the body. The students used recycled materials to create the 3-D body systems.

Boone County High School Choir Performs at Regional Conference
 
Students from the Boone County High School Choir performed last week at the 7th Annual Northern KY Traumatic Brain Injury Conference at Receptions Banquet Center in Erlanger. 
  
Featured were members of the Chamber Choir and a cappella group who received a "Distinguished" rating at the recent distrcit music festival.
