There has been an increase in the number of people who are interested in online teaching and this is why IEOT was created. While there are numerous articles written about the subject of online teaching, IEOT is a place to learn, collaborate with other professionals, experience the online environment, and practice working in a manner similar to your online students.
IEOT plans to be your one stop source for professional development. Our first workshop will be launched during the first week in November and it is a three day new instructor orientation workshop.

Meet the Founders: Dr. Bruce A. Johnson is an online college professor, faculty developmental workshop facilitator, faculty mentor, new faculty instructor trainer, faculty peer reviewer, career coach and professional writer. Professor Linda Dick is an online college professor with additional teaching and writing coach experience in the traditional brick and mortar community college and university setting.
Our present plans include the following workshops:
- November, December 2014: Launch a 3 Day New Instructor Orientation Workshop
- January 2015: Add a 2 week boot camp for New Instructors
- Also in 2015: Add a 3 Day Workshop for Seasoned Instructors, along with a 2 week boot camp for Seasoned Instructors
