Animal Respirometry

Measure VO2, VCO2 and RER in a wide variety of organisms from insects to large mammals. Choose our Low Range (Q-Box RP1LP) or High Range (Q-Box RP2LP) Respirometry Package. Plant Physiology

Choose the Q-Box CO650 Plant CO2 Analysis Package to measure rates of photosynthesis, transpiration, respiration and photorespiration in plant tissues. Add soil chambers for measurement of soil respiration in the lab and field. Add chambers for insects and small animals for measurements of VO2 and VCO2.

Aquatic Respirometry

The Q-BOX AQUA measures VO2 in fish using intermittent flow respirometry. Repeated measurements can be made on the same subject without removing it from the chamber. Components are available for regulating water temperature, pH and dissolved O2. The system may be used with any aquatic organism, including crustaceans, plants and algae.

Our intuitive SOFTWARE is supplied with customized set-up files. Just power the Q-Box, click on the appropriate set-up file and you are ready to collect data. Interfaces and software are compatible with PC and Macintosh.
