Oak Hill Begins Organic Lunch Program
x

null The Good Earth Natural Foods Program

has proven itself already as a successful endeavor for many of our students. Check out the pictured salad-takers!

Students are making good food choices: fresh organic fruit for dessert at every meal, salads, raw vegetables, whole grain pasta with choices of sauces - the pesto has been surprisingly popular.  Students like to make their own choices of what to put on their plates, and all the choices are fresh, organic and seasonal. Our biggest problem with the program right now is getting the amounts delivered just right, making sure no food choices are mixed together before they're served - oh no! - and the Good Earth folks are  great to work with on these minor details.

A New Addition to the Oak Hill Family

null We have a new baby in the family! Giant Redwoods Teaching Assistant Ashley Mancera and her husband Hector have introduced us by photo to Mia, who we have been watching grow, from the outside, for the last 9 months. Ashley was still teaching through the summer and into the first week of school, and Mia arrived the following Friday!

Ashley promised to return after her maternity leave,

null On the occasion of the opening of the new school year, Board Member Janet Mourning, and her husband David, hosted a garden party at her home in Ross in gratitude for our Oak Hill School Staff. It was very much appreciated by all, as you can see in the photos below. Oak Hill School is able to be the wonderful place that it is due to an extraordinary staff of dedicated individuals who are here for the kids daily. They are miracles, every one of them. We all want to thank Janet for her celebratory appreciation -  and that was no ordinary "taco truck." What an amazing lay out of food and beverages and such a welcoming way to start the school year.
